SURGERY PLANNED FOR WEDNESDAY!
Hello Dear Okie Fireinds,
It's been a while since I have been on the Boards. Lot's happening in our lives. I am really ready to have things slow down anytime!
I will be having a panniculectomy on Wednesday morning. I am way more anxious about this than I thought I would be. I pray all goes well. I really need a complete tummy tuck, but my insurance will not pay for it so I will be content to live with my "little dough boy" muffin top above my belly button. I am truly grateful though that I will be getting the panniculectomy. Once healed, I will be so much more comfortable than I am now.
On the DH front - things have been going pretty well since our scare in January and then a few days ago the U of MI called with the news that his latest labs do not look good and they want to do a liver biopsy. And - they want to do it on the same day as my surgery is scheduled. Steve insists that we DO NOT reschedule my surgery and told them that they will have to do it the week after. So, on the 14th, he and our youngest son will travel to Ann Arbor for the biopsy. I think that by then, I will be able to ambulate around by myself, at least to the bathroom. We know I will not yet be up to the 2 hour car ride each way and then waiting around the hospital for hours and hours by that time.
We could use all the prayers and support you can offer and appreciate the kindness you all have always shown us. I am very worried about Steve as he has been much more tired lately than he has been. And I am scared about my surgery as well.
I will keep you all updated as I am able. Thanks again for your love and support. I hope you are all doing well and have a blessed Easter.
Huggs,
Pammie

Oh Pammie, I really hope and pray that things are okay with Steve. I just know your surgery will go smoothly and you are a tough lady so I know you can handle the recovery. I know how much you love Steve and want to have a "normal" life without all these medical issues. I pray that you get your wish and soon!

Hi, Pam.
I'm praying for you and Steve. Attack that fear head on, my dear (hey, that rhymes). :) Look at both situations as faith opportunities, and give all your anxieties and cares to the only one with shoulders big enough to carry them.
I'm praying that your surgery will go well, with no complications and a speedy recovery. I'm praying that further testing will show that Steve's liver is healthy and all is well. Let's claim that God is preserving Steve's transplant, in Jesus' Name.
I know that everyone here will surround you both in prayer.
