So I had my EGD on Wednesday.
For some reason I thought it was an awake type procedure, I didn't realize I'd be knocked out for a short while. Apparently one of the drugs they shot me up with really messes with your memory. Brian said that I had a full conversation with Dr. G afterward about Nexium being formulary with Tricare and I don't remember a BIT of it. The first thing I remember is looking at Brian and asking him if Dr. G had come in yet. The next thing I remember is being in the van, talking with Brian about how hungry I was and I REALLY needed to stop somewhere and get something to eat. Right in the middle of our conversation I kind of freaked out, "HOW'D I GET IN THE VAN!!!???" Trippy, man, woah!
Anyway, there's a tiny little pre-ulcer type rash on the upper part of my intestine, right below the duodenal bulb, so I'm on Nexium for at least 90 days. Bri didn't think to ask Dr. G what the next step was, so I'm waiting to hear back from Dr. G's office. Unfortunately, the coordinator went home sick yesterday so I'll probably have to wait until Monday or Tuesday before I find anything out. I'm praying that the rash won't delay anything though.
