Hi, and welcome to the OK forum. I love the people here! :)  I think you're doing wonderfully well. I know it's tempting to compare one's weight loss to others, but it's so self-defeating to do that. Just be thankful for every pound.
I have no helps about protein shakes, because I loathe them and don't have to drink them (thankfully). I am able to eat protein "food," and that's what I do. Pattye gave you some great ideas, so I'm sure you'll find something that works for you. Try to get as many different samples as you can, so you don't invest a bunch of money.
Just wanted to say hello to you. Glad you're here.
Blessings,
Mary

Welcome out of lurkdom!  You have found a very welcoming home!  Congratulations on deciding to take control of your life and have wls.  It is such an exciting time!

28 pounds in a month, huh?  I would say you are rocking this whole tiny tummy thing!  That is fabulous progress!  You should be proud of yourself instead of looking for me!  I'm a slow loser so I just try to enjoy the process.  It's taken me a year to lose 99 pounds so you'll pass me by easily if you even have that much to lose.

Anyway, welcome and please post often!

28 pounds in a month sounds like a great loss to me and I am losing fairly quickly. I have found a couple of shakes I can handle my current fav is the EAS Carb Advantage shakes but the low carb SlimFasts are ok for my tummy too. Everyones tastes are different and protien and what you like is very individual, I like the Syntrax nectar as well but not all flavors. I am glad that you came out of Lurking to talk with us, WE LOVE NEW MEMEBERS!

Having the time of my life!

HI. I had my RNY on Mar 2 also. Dr. Katsis did my surgery at St Francis. I am having a hard time getting the protein shakes down too, but I found a new protein that is a liquid concentrate in fruit flavors. It is really good. Kind of expensive though. It is called proti diet. I got it off of my dietshops.com
As far as the losing weight, I have lost 48 pounds. The more you have to lose the quicker you lose.
