Dr. G out of pocket expense??

I paid EVERYTHING out of pocket (didnt have insurance at the time) and my total for it all is nearing $70k.  Thats for the doctors, all the pre surgery visits to this specialist and that specialist, hospital charges, etc etc.  I could probably get you a list of everything seperate if needed.

Wow, that's alot of money.  All worth it though. 

I also paid $200.00 for initial appt, then later another $400.00 to Dr G and $200.00 to Dr K.  Plus a few copays for specialist visits prior.  Since my OOP for my ins was already met prior to me seeing Dr G, once the surgery was done and insurance paid, I got all my monies back.  $600.00 from Dr G and $200.00 from Dr K.  But it took about 60 days after the surgery.  The hospital bill was about 27,000, but I did not pay anything on it.  My ins covered 100%.
Dr G's actual charges to my ins was 7500.00 and Dr K's was 2500.00.
