anyone with lapband revision

has anyone had a revision from lap band ? I want a revision and tricare is researching a surgeon for me because they think most surgeons in this area won't touch me because i already have a lap band. any suggestions or words or encouragement?

I know most revisions if you are 6 months post have to converted to RNY due to scar tissue..i have read that some will wait till you are 9 months and do the revision..if you are under 6 months and the scar tissue is minimal they might be able to just take the band off.

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Lisa~ I know Dr. Warnock does revisions... I'd see about getting a consult with him to see if he can revise you from lapband to RNY. 940-691-0805.
