Dr Kevin Fisher
I was going to use Dr fisher from surgiacal assoc. He does surg at St Francies in tulsa. He was my first choice but it took so long to get my first appt. I had my information meeting in aug it cost 25.00 and did not get appt to see the dr untill dec 22nd and this appt is 497.00 upfrount. I called a friend who had wls and she said go listen to dr gorospies free meeting I think you will like him. I had the information meeting on the 6th of jan and walked out of the meeting with a intake appt.there intake appt is 200.00. I did have to have my psych eval and sleep study done before they would submit to my insurance. My request was sent on the 12th of feb and my approval was the 23rd i got my surg date the same day it was the 26th of march. My other friend who continued with Dr fisher (we have the same insurance and went to the same meeting together) will have wls in two weeks.
Thanks for the information. It excites me that he works out of Southcrest as well as St francis cause Southcrest is a sister hospital to the one I work at and we get special benefits (write offs) for using sister hospitals for services. I have checked out the website and am thrilled with what I have read and the testimonies concerning Dr Fisher. Thanks again for all the information.
Dr. Fisher did my surgery in October 2006, and I was very happy with him. I feel like he genuinely cared about my progress and weight loss. It seems like the consultation fee was applied to his surgical fee (at least at that time), so I didn't really end up paying all that much out of pocket. He does do surgery at both St Francis and Southcrest. Good luck with your decision.
Thanks for the information. I'm going to contact his office and begin the process. My main concern was if he did bariatric surgery at both hospitals. I work at a sister hospital to Southcrest and we receive write offs if we stay within the system so I was truly hoping he did surgery at Southcrest! I'm so relieved to here that he does. Now, I just need to get started! Thanks again
