2 1/2 months of working out

I know everyone on here understands when I say that I cannot believe I am a person that works out!!!!  I never worked out before and it was such a big deal just for me to walk in that gym for the first time 2 1/2 months ago.  But, I did it and you guys encouraged me to hold me head high and I did.  Now I work out for an hour Mon-Fri except for the occasionaly sleep in.  I am actually considering biking the 10 miles in the redbud classic.  I might have to walk my bike over those hills but my sister (not Camille) is a marathon running/biking queen and says she will slow down to my pace and do it with me.  I told her I was scared I would be the last to finish and she said "no you won't because I will be behind you".  That made me cry!  Just had to share with those in my life that understand best --you all!

Stay warm and enjoy the pretty white stuff!

What a great sister you have! You are doing great and the inspiration for me to get off my butt and join a gym I am only doing 3 days a week yet but hey I out worked my skinny cousin I took as my quest last week. i was still going through the stuff my trainer has lined out and she was all I think i will just use the bike again as these machines kill ya. (Toning my arms that day) I even got on the eliptical and yeah it was my first time I only did 2 minutes but hey I will increase. keep up your great work and keep rocking that gym membership!

Both my sisters are so amazing.  I am so blessed.   I'm so proud of you working out 3 days a week.  That is still more than most people do.  A bunch of people at the gym just go twice a week.  I'm right there with you on the eliptical.  I still remember sweating over that machine the first time and thinking 10 minutes had gone by and looked down and it was 2 min and 30 sec!!! LOL!!  But now I can make it 25 minutes so you will get there too.  Thanks for the encouragement!

Wow.  You are doing amazing!  I think of you often and wonder how you are.  I have started walking 30 minutes a day at work and I feel so much better.  Trying to finish cleaning out my garage because we have enough exercise equipment to have a gym out there.  This summer it will be a lifesaver.  We started getting the pool ready last weekend and then this week we had horrible weather so we will have to start over again.  Also, I look forward to using the bike I bought last year.  You are definitely great motivation for me.  Thanks!! :-)

I totally understand what you are saying! I love to work out even when I was heavier...for me now I am restricted to only walking so its rough...In a few weeks I am going swimming. I really cant wait. Thank GOd it is a private in door pool so I wont be so self conscious about my legs...
As for the bike run..Kiddo this is my favorite saying..winners are not those that come in first place. they are those that finish the race no matter what obstacles are in there way. There is so true pace as first or last only if you finish
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Amy you are doing wonderful!! I think it's wonderful that your other sister(not Camille) want's to support you in this race. I wish I had sisters like that. You have inspired me to begin using my membership at Aspen again. I have been saying I am going to go back, but I don't. It is hard to do alone, but yet, I do everything alone so this would be no different. I can do this!
I am proud of you and all you have accomplished thus far! Keep up the good work!!

Hugs
Sherry

Oh and 8 miles is not that far from 10! You can do the 10!!!
