Thankyou for the link.  I will have to try them soon!  I am so with you on not worrying about the fat.  My focus is on the protein and carbs too.  I seem to eat a lot of stir fry without the rice of course.  I wish I liked fish, but I do not like any seafood at all.  I pretty much eat steak, chicken, and snack on beef jerky.  I do not even care for eggs that much.
You look really awesome!  I love your new avatar!

Thanks again

I hate to be a spoil sport but I do know that the Nutritionists at Weight Wise will tell you that NO pasta, rice or bread, though it be low carb or not, is allowed. I have Chris for my nut  and asked her about them. She said so many other's have asked her about them over the past few months and she knows about them, but It is still a NO! I also asked her about the cereals that are low carb and she also gave me a NO! She said the nuts and the Doctors there at WW,  get so mad at those who say they are just fine for our little tummys when they aren't. The reason being, is that they are filler foods and not pure protein foods. We can have good carbs, but no rice, bread or pasta's and like we were told... always protein first then the complex carbs.

What about Special K protein cereal, it has 10 grams of protein per 3/4 cup and 0 sugar and 8 or 10 grams of carbs??  I eat it for breakfast with low sugar yogurt which has 6 grams of protein..

Candee, I do not think you have stretched your pouch. You would have to be really pushing food to do that. I suggest going back on the pre surgery diet and let that guide you back. To occasionalyhave potatoes is not a crime. But to seek them out is. I use cauliflower in faux mashed tators and potato salad. I think if you cook for your family as you do for yourlsef they will learn good eatting habits
Good luck

Even the folks at Extreme nutrition tel me that eating more protein (in any form) helps curb your appitite.  I am even taking a pill called VPX Meltdown.  It is a fat burner and craving control formula.  It makes you WANT to get out and exercise and gives you a big rush of energy.  The only kicker?  It has caffenine in it.  My doctors said it was okay, and that most doctors want you to stay away from caffenine in the first 3-4 months but after that a little wont hurt your tummy.  I would still talk to your doctor (since how WW is sooooooooo strict...no offense anyone).   I wanted to make sure it was okay beofre i started it, which is what ALL of us should do before adding anything to our new diets.  Good luck

I think in part grazing is a response to the fact that we just can't the quantity we used to-so our little brains get us to graze.  That said, when I want to graze, I always want carbs.  My brain just cries out for junk sometimes.  So, I give it a little.   The trick is to not let it become a habit, so if I'm going to eat some junk I will plan on having high protein before and after (in the next meals).

What you don't want to do is fall into the trap of counting calories.  Calories are still important, but I could probably eat hershy kisses all day and stay in a decent caloric range.  However, that isn't what health is about.

Also, I graze when I'm actually thirsty-how are you doing on water?
