Post Op PAin

It seemed those first couple of days the only thing that would help when I was hurting was walking.  That was also the only way I could get fluids down.  I couldn't take the lortabs or morphine but they gave me percacet in the pill form and I could tolerate that really well. 

Anyway, I got tired of walking in my house, so I made hubby take me to the local walking track and walk with me until I could get a bottle of water down.  Getting the fluids down helped to now that I think about it.

Which surgery did you have??

same here. i had surgery on wednesday, 3/25 - home yesterday. pain was horrible yesterday, a little better today. i had realize band surgery. hard even to get liquids down. have been walking around my house, but will try walking outside with hubby as well. heat helping. sometimes wonder if i am hungry and mixing up the pain.

Happy to report that all of the advice I read here really helped and the pain was suddenly almost completely gone by Saturday night (post-op day #3). I rejoiced when I went through all of Sunday without the need for the Vicodin! Tomorrow is my one-week mark and I am doing really well.
