I found a protein I can get down without gagging. whoever recommended the body fortress protein from walmart had a great idea. I bought some in the vanilla flavor and actually got the whole glass of it down with out a major tummy or bowel issue. Guess i will stick with it.

Thats great!  I think it was Sherry/okiechick but can't remember for sure.  I was so relieved once I found something that worked for me.

Yea!!!   That body fortress is good stuff, I like to add some powdered peanut butter to give the chocolate a reeses taste!. Glad you found something you can tolerate,  I know that it's not easy. I have tasted some icky protein supplements along the way.

I ordered my powdered peanut butter from www.bellplantation.com, they also have PB with chocolate.  Its kind of pricey, but one jar lasts a long time.  I actually ordered 2 PB & 2 PB with chocolate and split the cost with a friend.  Hope you like it!

Yes, Emily it is what I use all the time and actually like it. I have 3 different flavors and switch it up off and on so I don't get sick of one flavor. I love the chocolate one, hot like hot chocolate. I'm glad you like it ok too. I always hate to recommend any because you aren't sure if people will like it or not, but at least you arent paying 40 bucks for one you hate. It's the cheapest one I found with a flavor I can handle and lots of protein in it not to mention very few carbs.

Are you still using the protein drinks?  I went to ww this week and they told me to eat foods with protein, and not to us the drinks.  Our surgery was only 2 days apart.  I was enjoying using the protein drinks, but am not sure what to do?

Hi JoAnn!
I am eating my meals first but if I can't get it all in, then I do have a small protein drink about mid morning. I am not drinking them every day now....Just about 2 a week now. I know what you mean. It is so easy to just make one of those and drink it rather than have to make some kind of meal but they are right. We do need to go towards real food. It's just hard when I'm not able to eat much of the meats yet. I'm working on getting off them but I'm not there yet.

Sherry,
How much protein are you trying to get in each day?  Some days all I want to eat is cottage cheese and I have never liked cottage cheese.  It seems to be the easiest on my pouch.  Sometimes food really does hurt.
Thanks

JoAnn,
I just read someone's post on another board and they said to take a 32oz container of cottage cheese and mix an envelope of Hidden Valley Ranch powder in to it.  Let it sit overnight and eat.  I thought that sounded kinda good.  Maybe that would change the taste up enough for you to make it more appealing?
