Confused on what full feels like
I know that is weird but when I eat, I take a small bite every 2 min. I don't have the feeling that I used to and am very confused. If I feel slightly like I may be "full" if I wait the 2 min. I guess it just passes through and I am able to keep eating.
What advice and experience can you give me. Thank you.

Hi.
You'll learn your personal "full" feeling, in time. For some, it's a hiccup or burp and that tells them they'd better not take another bite. It is true that if you eat small bites and eat slowly, especially spacing out those bites, you can eat and eat, so it's important to limit your meal to 20-30 minutes. At least that has been my experience. You might want to call the nutritionist and just see what she says about your situation.
Blessings,
Mary

You will need a new instruction manual for your new body! Hungry and full both feel different post-op. The lucky ones get a hiccup or some other physical sign they are done. I didn't get that. I have to pay careful attention to my body's signals. I quit eating at the first sign of any tightness. Some days (even 10 months out) that is a couple of ounces of meat and some days it is more. It also depends on the density of the protein- turkey during the holidays sat really heavy in my tummy. Just go slow and listen to your body. At this point I would definitely say it is better to under eat than to risk overeating.

I don't get a full feeling like it used to be. I have to let my stomach, not my head or my eyes, guide me. I measure what I intend to eat, but if tummy says stop, I stop. I used to not stop and I'd puke every time. Tummy never lies.
If I'm worried I'll get hungry too soon, I just stick the plate in the microwave and eat it for a snack if I do get hungry, or toss it if I don't. Usually I don't get hungry again.
