???Sharp pain in left side???

OK...just wanted to see if anyone else has had this. I have been getting sharp pains in my left side right around the bottom of my ribcage. It is not constant ...it will just kinda stab for a few seconds and then stop. There is no constant pattern but it has been doing it all day...Any thoughts?

Right side and I would've claimed gallbladder.  If you were newly post-op, I would've said that it's normal surgery pain.  Could it be gas?  Are you constipated?

Other than that, I dunno!

You know...I guess it could be gas. I forget had bad gas pains can be. I will take some Gas X when i get home and see if it helps.

I have read this one a few times on here. It seems it is quite common and if I remember right is scar tissue issues. There have been many who have brought this up, so I hope they will correct me if I am wrong, but I do know it's common. I know that doesn't help the pain much, but maybe knowing others have had it will help.

I am going to guess scar tissue too.  The only thing medically wrong other than scar tissue on the left quadrant would be something in the colon.  That's it folks. 

I am having the same pain you are. I don't think mine is gas though. could be, just don't think so. Let me know if the gas x works for you.

The pains seem to have stopped. I am thinking it was Gas. I have an appointment with Dr. Pond on Tuesday so I will talk to him about it. I do have some other pain (nothing major at all) on the left side that is a bit lower that I attribute to scar tissue, but the pains I was having yesterday were different.

Emily: Try some Gas X and see if that helps.....Hope yours stops soon too....

Do you still have your Gall Bladder??
