only 4 more days to live through.

I can't believe it's so close! the last two weeks have really gone by fast. I've kept myself really busy too so that has helped. I had my pre-op yesterday and paid all my $$ now i'm broke, Haha! I still have to convince myself that this really is going to happen, and I"m starting to get the jitters. thoes "Will I wake up" jitters, but I'm sure I'll be just fine. I have lots of friends and family praying for me and thinking about me and of corse I've got my OH family too! I'm going to take my laptop to the hospital so as soon as I feel able i'll get on and post.

I did get some sad news yesterday just as I was walking into the Pre-admissions department of the hospital. One of the guys I work with, whom I was really good friends with, and his wife were visiting family down in Lubbock Tx. and were hit on their motorcycle by a drunk driver and they were both killed. The mood back at work is really somber and everyone is trying to come to terms with the loss. Please add his family and friends to your prayers. And for you Hog riders....BE CAREFUL!!!!

Sorry to hear the sad news.  I learned a friend of mine had died this morning, too.  I guess we're not invincible. 
Good luck on your surgery !!  It really is the start of a new life. 

I will be keeping all the recent losses in my heart as I pray, and your surgery date as well.

So Sorry to hear of your loss.  My husband and I are Hog riders and I'm always so sadden to hear of motorcycle accidents.  I'm so glad your time has gone fast, I will be anxious to hear from you after surgery.  I had my meeting yesterday with my Nutritionist and trying to start the logging and getting protein in today.

That's awesome, you'll be there before you know it! and be careful on that bike! the woman that hit them was so intoxicated that she hit another vehicle also. she sent my friends flying off their bike and the bike skidded and caught on fire. she fought police when she was arrested and refused a breahalizer. they've charged her with two counts of intoxicated manslaughter and she'll likely go to prison. exactly where she belongs.

I hope she gets whats coming to her.  Everyone always tells us how dangerous bikes are... and it's not the bikers its the other drivers.  I'm very lucky my husband is a very safe driver and aways watching out for the other drivers.  In Strugis last year, a three wheel almost pulled out in front of us.  The bikes behinds us stopped us and said good riding back there we thought you were goners...we didn't realize it looked that bad, my husband said he could see it coming.  You are all in my prayers and their family as they go thru this difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear about the accident, on a better note though they will be watching over you on your journey through WLS. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. keep busy and the time will fly!

I was saddened to read about Natasha Richardson.  I'm not going to ride my bike any more without my helmet. 

I've already talked to you and you know I'm excited for ya, girl!  I'll see you on Tuesday!  *hugs*

Hubby and I ride too (altho we have not ridden since last summer) so it always saddens me to hear of fellow bikers being lost especially to the STUPIDITY of DRUNK DRIVERS.
