Boredom and WW support group tonight...

I'm almost 10 months out and find myself getting kinda bored with the whole process.  I'm getting kinda tired of the whole "push water" and "push protein" routine.  The happy part?  I've never made it 10 months before I got bored.  So I need to find my mojo and get re-committed to the whole process.  Any ideas?

I think part of the problem may be that I've missed support group for 3 or 4 weeks.  I'm not avoiding it, I've just had other issues come up.  But I will be there tonight.  I know I need it desperately!  So who's in?  Who's coming to support group tonight?

Not me, but it is the shot in the arm I need every once in a while.  How about the meet and greet?  Sound off !

I don't think tonight will be in the works for me but I hope it is the shot in the arm you need. I do plan on being at the meet and greet next week.

I'm sorry I'm not going to get to meet you tonight!   Guess I missed you last week.  I'm sure it's going to happen some time, Momma!

I went to the thunder game last night so didn't go.  I haven't been in months!!!  I miss them so much but with school I just can't fit it into my schedule right now.  I plan to start going again as soon as I am done with school in August.  I know...long way away.

I can't tonight either, but I'm going to share my wisdom now....LOL.

It's like the economic rule of diminishing returns-once the big, dramatic changes are over we kind of miss them and it's not so exciting.  The last 50 is never as exciting or fun as the first 50.

And in my case, people are so used to saying "oh, you are losing weight" they STILL say it when I'm not.  Ok, I've lost a little, but a pound or two isn't going to make a visible difference at this point.  So, I am ready for people to find some other means of defining me besides "losing weight".

Eureka!  Insight-in order to do THAT, I have to find new ways of defining myself.  Oh, I'm glad we had this talk.  Hugs!

I never thought about it like that!  (diminishing returns)  You're right that it's not so dramatic now.  But I welcome anyone to tell me I look like I'm losing weight at any time!  I don't get that as much as you might think after 99 pounds.

You're the critter lady!  That's how I define you anyway!  The critter lady with the big heart!

Kim,

I understand how you feel.  It almost seems like it's been a long, long version of an Atkins diet or something... I'm trying to find new things to stretch for so I spend less time obsessing about my food and water.  Drinking my water has become a fairly ingrained habit at this point, so no problem there.  I still long for a big ole dish of noodles now and then, but I know I couldn't possibly eat them, and if I tried it would hurt...

Anyhow - I've decided I'm going to take a run at the Redbud Classic (5K), so I've been focused on that the last few weeks and it seems to help with the boredom and routine.  How 'bout it?  You wanna do the Redbud? or maybe the Memorial Run/Walk in late April?  If nothing else, you'll be busy working towards that and have less energy to spend on boredom...

I think I have my kids all lined out for tonight, and do plan to be at support group.  Maybe we can talk then about some more ideas.  I also think this would make and EXCELLENT topic to discuss with the group tongith.

We can do this and make it on to our goals if we all lean on each other!
