Since it is spring break I wanted to accomplish at least one project.  So, I tackled turning my son's old bedroom into an ofice/ exercise room.  I have been preparing and painting the room for 2 days.  It is SO much easier since I am no longer carrying a chubby cheerleader on my back! I woke up with no sore muscles this morning.  I even had the energy last night to stay up to see Leno!

I am still shocked and amazed at how much easier everything in life is without 116 extra pounds on my body.

If anyone is still on the fence about doing WLS- go for it!  Your life will change in ways you cannot imagine.

I agree 100%.  Right now I have 2 painting projects going.  The living room, and the bathroom which one day last week I got tired of the tile board in there and just started ripping it off, and when the hubby got home he had a surprise.  So he put up the sheet rock this weekend and I have been sanding and painting.  Before I would have been so sore from climbing the ladder, but not now, not one sore muscle on me.  And I actually have energy to get these jobs done.  Before it would take me forever because i was just to tired.  Hopefully now I can take  care of my home and make it a place that I can be proud of.  WLS has not only saved my life but changed it as well.   Rosielocks

OK I REMEMBER A TIME WHEN IT WAS A CHORE JUST TO WALK FROM MY CAR INTO THE HOUSE OR MY JOB. OR EVEN CIRCLING THE PARKING LOT SEVERAL TIMES TO FIND THE CLOSEST SPACE. NOW I COULD PARK AT THE END OF THE LOT AND HAVE NO PROBLEM AT ALL. I WAS TOLD YESTERDAY AT THE GYM THAT I EVEN WALK WITH EASE NOW. I HAVE NOT TRIED TO PICKUP 150LBS AND WALK AROUND WITH IT BUT I DON'T THINK I COULD DO IT. BUT HOW DID I DO IT BEFORE? I JUST DON'T KNOW!! ANYWAY CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING ABLE TO DO THINGS WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE NOW!! YOU ARE MOVING RIGHT ALONG!

Gee, Lynette!  Thanks for the wonderful offer but I think I will take a pass!   I still need to do my living/ dining room but that will have to wait for summer.

Amen my sister!  It took me a long time to realize I could even tackle a big project, I was so used to giving out.  What I have done, hit or miss, in the past two days would have laid me up for a week pre WLS-yet tomorrow I'm going off to pick up a load of rocks for my rock garden.

Spring is HERE!!!!! and we are enjoying it!!!!!!!  Yes yes yes yes yes~~~~

Good for you Denise! My new found energy has resulted in an intense cleaning out project and I have brought to Goodwill every piece of "junk" that has sat unused forever. I cleaned and rearranged the girls' bedrooms (and amazingly they are staying that way). One thing that has not changed though -- I need to paint badly, but I still hate to paint. LOL

I hate painting too but love the results.  I have been avoiding this project for way too long.

I need to go buy some more rocks myself!  And some topsoil, some mulch, a few shrubs, and the list goes on and on!  I LOVE spring!
