My first Wow!

This weekend I went to a halter clinic in Texas (I show horses) and a friend of mine that was there was telling everyone how proud she was of me over my weight loss and the clinician said "You used to be heavy?" I thought that was sweet but my answer was "what do you mean used to? I still am!"  One of the ladies that was there took pictures and emailed them to me tonight, I couldn't believe how skinny my legs look and my butt is disappearing.  After seeing those pictures I went into my closet and took out the jacket that I had made for the 2000 Palomino World show.  I remember when I wore it when I showed that it was kind of tight and I haven't worn it in years.  I put it on tonight it was too big!  Then I started going through all of my jackets, everything from a 20W to a 16 is too big, especially though the shoulders and waist.  I called one of my girlfriends and burst into tears telling her that my jacket didn't fit anymore because it was too big...I was looking forward to wearing it again but I guess it's okay I can go shopping now :)

Kathy that is so awesome!  I know you were hoping to wear those and looking forward to it but its really kind of cool that you zipped right by those sizes.  Have fun buying some new stuff and make new memories wearing some even better jackets!!  Congratulations!  And yes....you USED to be heavy!!

I had a jacket related wow this weekend too. My son had his birthday party at a paintball place and me and the moms sat at some picnic tables while we waited. the weather was really pretty nice except for a few times that the wind started blowin and it got chilly. I went to my car because I thought I had a jacket but didn't. I saw my 11 year old sons sweatshirt zip up kinda jacket and figured what the heck I will try it cuz I am cold. IT FIT! Ok the sleeves where a little short but I got it on...in my mind thats all that matters!  So from now on I am tryin on all kinds of stuff cuz you cant just look at somethin or go by the size to tell whether something will fit or not.

Wow!  Isn't that cool?!?!?!  Is your jacket worth getting altered?  If you really live it you might see if it is financially feasible to have it taken in.

Don't forget, special things can be altered to a degree.  It might just be worth it, if it can be done.  Your local cleaners will know someone who can do it.

THAT IS TOTALLY COOL! And you can sell your big stuff on ebay, you know? I have 3 pair of old wranglers and rockies hanging in my closet that aren't in style anymore BUT they're starched and pressed, and if I'm lucky I'll get to wear them again, but hopefully briefly! And then I will 'recycle' them too! THIS IS SOOO EXCITING! Obviously you didn't even know you had lost that much??? I am SO proud and SO envious and I can't wait to have a day like this!!!
