Horrible cottonmouth from CPAP
I've given some thought to the problem. I think the issue is completely physiological as everyone has suggested. I've lost weight and there is less pressure on my neck and jaw from my belly.
I don't have a pulmonologist any more. I used to have American Respiratory do all the work but without another sleep study they won't adjust my machine. I have a Remstar C-Flex with a humidification chamber. I do use the humidifier...so much so that I have a sock on my main tubing to keep from being rained out!
Now I have to figure out what to do.. Last thing I need is to have what's left of my brain blown out by this crazy thing!!
Thanks for everyone's input!!

Winne, Call your Patient Advocate. They know someone who works on those machines and can reset that to a lower rate. I know that when I gave her a machine for a lady, she said they had someone who could set it and any others we had. They may be able to help you get it set to a lower number without the expense of going back for another sleep study. We should be able to set our own, but for some reason it is always top secret to be able to do it.

Jerm, I too have had your experience and just went through the new test to see if my 10 could be adjusted. I now am at 6.5 and with a few more pounds gone I may have the CPAP gone, too (with luck). So, buddy, try to get it adjusted. Otherwise, as others have said, you're going to feel like you are blowing your brains out !!!
