I'm so sick of the broth and jello already!  Does anyone have any interesting ideas that I can try?  I've been straining the broth off canned soup and that helps.  Winnie told me to try chinese soup, but the nearest chinese place is 45 minutes away and I know if I walk in there, I'm gonna want more!!!

What's the deal with creamy soups?  Is it just they are high calorie and carbs?

I wish you had a Chinese place close.  The egg drop soup strained would be great.  I found that decaf coffee and tea were a very nice change.  NO CREAM SOUPS for WeightWise patients.  ONLY clear liquids for 2 weeks....you can do this!!!  They want you tummy to totally heal before introducing any other foods.  Just follow the sheet the nutritionist gave you.  I found that warm things, room temp water worked best for me.  I was like you for a long time and NEVER wanted to see any more Jellow or crystal light again.  I now do the crystal lite and have for a while but sweet things made me want to gag.  Good luck to you!!!  It will be so worth it!!!

I am getting where sweet things are "blech".  Even propel and the powerade zero is borderline.

Don't worry, I'm staying away from the cream soups...just had a weak moment!! LOL!

However if there was pizza soup, I'd be so tempted!

I know what you mean...the pre-op diet and hoops and this part are the worse part of it all.  It will get better soon and it will be soooooo worth it all, I promise!!!

I usually send this to those in the broth stage. Maybe you have tried it already but at least it adds some vitamins to the broth...Don't forget popcicles too!  I know this phase for me what a nightmare!! We asked Chris about doing the below ideas and she said it was fine, but no tomato products. Good luck.

Ideas for the liquid broth stage: Remember there are many types of broth's and bullions. I went to the asian market and found all kinds besides just chicken and beef.    Remember you need a real good strainer for these ideas After simmering, let the mixture sit, to fuse the flavors and vitamins. I kept a container to put the left over veggies in to use when I make a soup for the mushie stage....I am not wasting anything! lol Its in my freezer. You can also add unflavored Whey protein to any soup to give it a creamier texture.   Beef Broth          Chopped onions (to make an onion soup)          Green peppers and chopped onions          Green onions for a different onion taste          Carrots/ celery/ onions           A shot of soy sauce and a small amount of wasabi paste           A shot of Whorchestershire           Chopped cabbage/onions,celery/carrots No tomatoes without asking your doctor...We can't at WW. Chicken Broth         Add some poultry seasoning, chopped celery and carrots Shrimp broth/ It's not fishy tasting like you would think...It has a bisque type flavor             Old Bay Use any fresh veggies you like or enjoy to flavor the broth for the vitamins but this has to be strained very well to be free of particles.

how about next time your at walmart in the drink section the walmart brand sugar free that comes in little containers you mix the dry 2 of those in a gallon of water and shake shake shake they are great girl they have cherry limeade, grape, orange, rasberry, lemonade, cherry, strawberry, tea with lemon, peach, they have several I guess its like crystal light but generic still I think here they are like $1.95 each and a container has enough in it to make like 3 gallon so cheap drinking and it beats plain water also you can mix like 1 lemon 1 peach and try your own flavors for variety. The grape has a weird side affect of making your bowels green as grass don't see how grape would be green, maybe the dye in it but I drink these and for diet stuff it dont have that awful aftertaste well hope this helped good luck with the liquids

Jen, I was allowed to have egg drop soup on the liquid phase and I made my own.
Take 2 cups of chicken broth , add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and a couple of shakes of pepper. Bring to boil.  Beat an egg and whisk in to the boiling broth. It is very good.
