HELLO .... WHAT'S UP WITH PAMMIE???
Hello All,
It's been a while since I posted but I have lurking but not with any frequency. Things have been a bit hectic here but hopefully will settle down soon.
DH is doing pretty well. It is a long journey with many challenges along the way. I am hoping that the worst is now behind us.
I will be having a panniculectomy on April 8th. Would like to have a complete tummy tuck but my insurance will not pay for it and we cannot afford the additional funds it would cost. But, I am still very happy to be getting rid of this apron of fat. To me it looks to weight about 10lbs. or so but my surgeon said it is small compared to most of the panni's he has done and believes it to be more like 4-6lbs. That's fine with me and I am very eager to get this done and over with. I'm a little nervous too!
Oh, and we will be traveling to Indiana in June to see Toby Keith in concert. I have wanted to see him perform sometime and this is it. Have any of you ever seen him in concert? I heard he puts on a great show. I hope so!
BIG NEWS! I saw a robin today. So, that means spring and warmer weather will eventually get here. It can't arrive soon enough for me - we stilllllll have piles of snow around!
I hope all is well with each of you. I think of you all each day!
Huggs,
Pammie

I saw him back in 95-96 at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and I will just say he was quite a disappointment. He seemed to be under the influence of something. That was early on in his career, I have heard that he does a awesome show nowdays. I am a HUGE fan & buy all his stuff and would not hold one bad concert against the man!

Pammie,
You will be so happy with the Panni. I can tell you it made a world of difference in my self-esteem...even when I gained weight back. Just a word of warning though...be carefuly....I was flashing everyone in the hospital room and didn't realize it....I'd never had that problem! LOL I hd 13 lbs. of skin removed two years ago.
Hugs,
Marsha

Hi Marsha,
Yep - I can't wait to be rid of it. Right now I have to buy my jeans in size 14 just to accomodate my panniculous and they the legs and waist are too big. So, I'm looking forward to being in size 12 when this is finished. Dresses are the same - I need to get a 12 or 14 depending on the style and they never fit perfectly that way. Will be nice to be at one size!
And I will be careful about that "flashing" thing too?
Or maybe not - a girl's gotta have some fun!
Huggs,
Pam
Hi, Pam.
It's so good to hear from you. I'm excited for your upcoming surgery. Have positive thoughts about it. I know you'll feel so much better, getting that skin removed.
I'm very happy to hear that your husband is doing well. I always pray for him when I think of you two, which is often.
My daughter saw Toby Keith in concert fairly recently. She really enjoyed it and thought it was a good show.
Yes, spring is calling. :) It's my favorite time of year, which may be because my birthday is April 21st, so I'm a spring baby. :) I just love the tangible feeling of renewal that it brings.
Take care, and say hello to DH from his prayer warrior.
Blessings

Pammie,
I have seen Toby twice. Both times it was excellant show. I would go see him again in a heart beat, but his ticket prices just seem to keep going up. Had a chance last year, but with the gas prices last summer, it would have cost me over $100 just in gas for the evening.
If you are a Toby fan, you won't be disappointed. I will be in OK in May and plan on visiting his restaurant.
