One More Thing.....Year Out Observations

Well here I am, one year later.  I look back and I can only say one word....WOW.  It's like that old cigarette comercial...."We've Come a Long Way Baby".  I have met and befriended a lot of you in this time and made some lifelong friendships.  Some of you have helped me in ways I can not even begin to express and i hope that in some small way I have done the same for others.  We are a family here and the infastructure that we have developed in just this last year is AMAZING.  Look at how many people are on here now compared to last year at this time?  It's quadrupled AT LEAST.  That is just awesome in its own right.  I want to thank each and every one of you on here for making this forum what it is and will continue to be.

Now to get more personal.  The first thing I want to say is I would do this again at the drop of a hat.  WLS has given me my life back in ways I could never of fathomed a year ago.  I am so much healthier, happier, and need I say, hipper.  I have a "I am the stuff" attitude now, meaning that I love who I am again and I try to spill that sunshine and energy out to everyone I am around.  I tell everyone about WLS and how it can give you your life back again.  It has definitely saved mine.  I still have a ways to go, about 60 pounds, until I get to the weight I want to be.  I will get there, I am not in any major hurry.  I am content with being where I am and losing it the way I am.  It took years to get it on, its going to take a little bit to get it all back off, lol.

To everyone who has been there for me in so many ways...Ruth, Rita, Thomas, Cindy, Renee, Deb, Kim, and so many others it would take me an hour to type out all the names.  You have all touched me in some way and I hope I have touched you all as well.   This is a life journey and I am glad to have you all hiking along with me.

Now this would not be complete if I didnt talk about the things I regret doing.  I eat some things I shouldnt (bread and pasta) and I dont exercise as much as I should I know.  I am working on doing better but hey I am human.  Working had helped a lot cause it gets me out and more active.  I also bought a Wii and have been working out on it a lot too.  I even dance a LOT more now that I can handle dancing more than one song without feeling like i am going to die.  That is definitely worth it.

Thanks all for reading this.  Here's to many more aniversaries not just for me, but for all of us.  God Bless you all, and keep on losing,  Cause being a loser never felt so good.

Congrats on your upcoming surgiversary!  You are so right- the weight didn't come on over night and it does not need to come off quickly.

Dan, Dan, the Sultan Man - you were one of my very early inspirations!  Thank you for sharing your story with all of us and I wish you much continued success.

Where are you working?  I thought you were in school?  I guessed I missed something along the way...

Wolfie:

I love you too bro.... I am so glad and honored that you mention me - you touch my heart and I am so proud of you!  Just keep being the you that you have become and all else will take care of itself!

If we were 100% perfect what would be have to do with ourselves??  Just try to behave and when you can't, oh well, move on past it like the rest of us!  It is all a big learning lesson in life and if we didn't have any downs the ups wouldn't feel so great!

The best is still yet to come, I know it!!  Lots of love and kisses and a pinch on the tush...  get your buttocks down here and come dancing with us!!  You know where to find me if you ever need anything!!

Well bro, you know that I'm always down for listening or helping in any way that I can!  You're a good friend that I care a lot about and I'm so happy things keep on moving in the right direction for you!

You're smart enough to pick a great field for your career, you're putting your health first, and you're getting your life in a position that great things are destined to happen for you, so I'm so happy!

If you need anything just give a shout!  You're gonna get that last 60 pounds off really quick and I'm sure more ladies will be chasin' those wranglers around the dance floor before you know it!  (only keep the good ones around...kick the drama queens to the curb!)
