Time to Change

Hey Girl

Sorry to hear things are still not any better for you. I like Dr. B and I respect him very much, as I do Dr. Walton. Now with that being said, they can make mistakes and they can also not solve every problem they encounter. However, you have been sick a LONG ASS time.  You can't live like this physically forever and the emotional toll this is taking on you has to be very, very difficult. I think it is time to get a second opinion. If you feel that they are not taking you seriously or are not listening to you, go somewhere else and see if they can help you. Or throw the mother of all fits and get their attention.  This is your life and you are miserable, and there is no excuse not to have told you something by now, even if it's, "Sorry Steph we don't know what is wrong with you, and you have to live like this forever, but we will keep trying things until something works for you." Second opions are a good idea regardless, I say go get one. Just because you do doesn't mean you have to leave WW. Heck they don't even have to know.  But another doc may see something they missed.

You will be in my prayers and if you need to get out sometime and raise some hell call me.

I want to help but I know it's hard since I'm not the one having the issues.  However, I am a great analyst/diagnostician.  I can usually help solve problems by changing my approach to them.

First off, the advice you have already gotten is excellent.  We are all behind you and want you to be better.

Next, let's take apart the situation.  This is hard to do but let's go back in time and document every problem and milestone since day 1.

Then, we document what is occurring today.  Write it down!!  Every symptom and concern!!  We need a bigger picture.  Keep a diary.

Finally, take this information to Drs. Walton AND Broussard.  Get an appointment with both through your patient advocate.  Sit down and calmly and rationally discuss what you have documented since day 1 and what is occurring right now.  The more information the Drs. have the more able they are to figure out what the problem is.

The human body is such a wondrous machine.  When it works, it is a miracle of life.  When it doesn't, we become simply miserable and sometimes even the experts cannot figure it out.  This is not a cause for despair!!  This is a time for education, patience, and throroughness.

Our doctors are good doctors.  They do care.  How many doctors would have come outside on a surgery day to pick me up off the ground to help me?  Both Dr. W and Dr. B were helping me into that wheelchair.  That being said, they are human and capable of mistakes.  There is some little piece of information in the big picture they are missing.  The only way to find this missing info is to document, document, document.

Steph, if I can help in any way, I'm there.  I want you to be a success and to have the life you so deserve.

Best wishes, hugs, good luck, and every other positive vibe I can send your way!

You *WILL* get better!!

OMG...I hate you guys you have all made me cry  and you know I can not afford to waste fluids right now. I am so sick of being sick it is not even funny, I just want to do the things that everyone seems to be able to do. Like NOT having to re-swallow my food when I eat b/c it comes back up.  Everything seems to be okay with the test we did today, so YEAH  and DARN all at the same time. I think I am at the point of running my head into the wall I think it would be more productive than what I am doing now. I see the doc on the 31st and at that point I will make a decision b/c I swear I don't want to start over with someone else. thanks guys I will start on my novel of problems.  thanks for the advice and support.
