Brother in ER

I would like help from my friends on OH.  My older brother was taken to the ER just a short while ago.  He has peripheral artery disease due to years of abuse of his body including smoking, drinking, and drugs.  This last September he had the artery in his leg replaced because it was blocked.  The surgery has been nothing but trouble for him and he has yet to be able to return to a normal life.

Today he found a very large mass near the incision site where the artificial artery is grafted in.  His leg has been feeling bad for a while now and we are concerned that something has gone wrong.  My dad took him to the ER and he is undergoing diagnostic testing to try and determine why he is having problems.

I *KNOW* all the prayers and well-wishes from my friends here helped me recover.  Can you spare a few for Mark?  He's a difficult man but no less deserving and is trying to turn his life around.  He may never read this but he needs us.

Also, my parents have had two sons in jeopardy this week and could use some positive thoughts going their direction.  I know all the worry has been rough!

Thank you, my friends!

Here's a bit of an update.

Mark has a pseudoaneurysm.  The spot where the artificial artery and the real artery join has ballooned up into a hematoma.  We are a little upset that the doctor who performed the procedure would not come in to see him.  They have basically done nothing but ice it down and feed it a drug.

He's at the hospital now awaiting the next step tomorrow morning.  We don't know what that will be which leaves us very concerned and feeling quite helpless.

I'll post as I know more.

I'll bend the Lord's ear too!   I know it's scary, but I also have seen first hand how positive thinking can help heal people.  Just look at you!  You've just been released after a very serious complication and you've kept positive and now you're on the mend.  That same positive attitude will help your brother too, even if he can't be upbeat now, you can for him!
