A GOOD NIGHT

Hello I was able to make the support group tonight and I met Debbie(fleemore), Jennifer(redheadgirl), Anna, Michael(arkman) and Winne.  I wish we could have talked more but we got to learn about plastic surgery which was very interesting. I will definately have to get back and meet even more of you.  Although everyone says I need new pictures as they didnt reconize me, (hee hee what a great problem to have) I promise to try and get a friend to take some new ones and change my avatar to a recent picture that looks more like the newest version of me. 

Debbie thanks for leading me out to the highway. Yeah I had gotten lost on the way due to the constructions.

It was great to meet you! Good thing you recognized us because never in a million years would I have recognized you! You look like a completely different person from the avitar! Wow, what a drastic difference!! Great Job!

Thank You Anna. I think Michael needs an updated picture too. We all looked awesome. It was so nice to actually meet some of the people I have gotten used to talking to on here everyday. I have a friend in Duncan who has been after me to come visit and I might have to plan a trip and see if I can stop by Lawton and say hello to Renae too. I am so looking forward to the get together this June and meeting even more of you.

Dang it!  I missed you last night.  I've got this bug and never left my bed.  And I missed Michael Muffin!  That's awful!     

It was AWESOME to get to meet you!!!  I would have NEVER in a million years guessed it was you!!  You NEED and new avatar!  I LOVE you new hair style.  It is so flattering to you.  You're a beautiful lady and it's only going to get better and better the way you're working that tool of your's.  I'm sorry we didn't have our "normal" support group meeting this time when everyone gets to share and have input but 2 more of the meetings this month will be with plastic surgeons.  A lot of WLS patients are interested in that aspect after loosing a lot of weight.  I hope to be one of those plastics patients (tummy) as soon as I get down to a BMI of 30 and get some $$$ saved up.  arrrgh

You need to come out and have a meet and greet with us when we all cut loose.  I KNOW you'd fit right in and have a blast with us.  We're ALL a little on the crazy side.  I hope you made it home OK.  I forgot to tell you when I'd get off I-35 and leave you but I guess you figured it out!!  I'm so glad you came last night and especially glad that you made a point to look for us!!!  Have a good one...

One problem is that, each month everyone is still making major changes and may still not look the same on a monthly basis....ohhhhhhhhh what a problem!! HAHA! I love it! I am going to make it to a support group meeting soon and hope to see everyone again. I had been all over the city for Dr's app's yesterday so I was just exhausted....I know no excuse when all I would do is sit but it was one more thing to do that I just couldn't bring myself to go do.... Glad you made it!

I just realized (in reading about changes) how helpful it is to have a group of people who truly understand what it's like not to recognize your own reflection.

I had surgery a month after I moved in to my house, and some of my neighbors still have trouble recognizing me. 

That's funny you said that Debra.  I had surgery in March last year and my neighbor who hadn't seen me much at all especially after the winter and it was dark when I got home from work saw me on a Saturday at Hobby Lobby.  She had a really funny look on her face when she was talking to my DH but looked at me and said "my, you've lost a LOT of weight haven't you"?  She said she didn't hardly recognize me!  It was AWESOME!!! 

It was awesome to meet you! I wouldn't have been able to pick you out of a crowd you look so different! You are one hot momma! I hope you get to come back and hang some more with us!!!
