9 month post-op visit for me today at WW
You are doing great Kim! I agree, Jess has always been so kind and helpful. I go to see Dr Walton on the 17th. I have never done the VO2 but am considering it.
To calculate your excess weight loss take what you have lost so far and divide it by the total amount you want to lose.
I think I am skipping out on group tonight too. I am not sick but Giorgi has a ton of homework since she forgot her book yesterday and she won't do it for my husband. She also broke her finger and so has to do it all left handed which takes her longer.
A broken finger merits lots of TLC from Mom anyway!
I strongly suggest the VO2. It really is very informative. I told her that I was doing some intervals where I was going as fast as I could and she said that I might actually be doing myself some harm from looking at the old VO2. At maximum heart rate, my fat burning goes way, way down!

I'm so proud of you, Kim, for keeping your appointment. Your weight loss total is awesome! You'll get those 40 lbs. off, one day at a time. I really feel that your new VO2 test will give you information that will help your body release more weight through more efficient exercise. I know that had Dr. Walton been able to see you, he would have said, "I'm proud of you, Kim."
Keep up the good work, girl.
Blessings,
Mary
