Update on me

My daughter-in-law and I missed a week of Tan and Tone while we were in NY and with everything that happened there we were not in the mood to go last week. We finally returned last night and we were due to measure again. I lost another 8 inches for a total inch loss of 68.75. Loren lost another 4 and was happy considering all the Italian food she ate while in NY. I also refigured my weight loss and I have lost 72% of my excess body weight to date.
Probably one of the things I am proudest of -- the situation with my NY family is still bad and there were some issues this week that compounded the situation even more. A year ago I would have used this situation to turn to food. But this time I have turned to friends and not food.

Hi, Nancy.
Congratulations on your amazing totals of inches and percentage of weight lost. You've done so well! It's good to know that you can use food for fuel and not to try to handle emotions with food, isn't it. It doesn't work anyway, to stuff down our emotions with food. You go, girl!
Blessings,
Mary

Nancy,
You are doing wonderful!! It is so hard to deal with issues without wanting to go back to our old ways. I am so proud that you know where to go now...I hope that I also learn that along this path.
I am so sorry that you are still dealing with the issues in NY. Just stand your ground. You know in your heart what is right and don't sway from that. Congratulations on your success at Tan and Tone, but in your journey as well.
Hugs
Sherry

I'm sorry that things are still bad with your family.  But they're gonna have to meet you at least halfway, if not more.  Sounds like they are so wrapped up in the "wedding drama" that they aren't thinking of much else.  And that makes me sad for you!  But is it their loss and I hope you know that.

Congrats on the fabulous number.  I'm really happy for you.  Tell me one more time how you calculate the percentage of excess body weight lost?  I can't seem to keep that in my little pea brain!

Oh!  And major hugs in not turning to food.  That would be so easy to do right now!  So happy you've been able to avoid this pitfall!

Congrats on those wonderful numbers - hope you and your family are on the mend soon - your family is Italian right? That would explain part of the drama - believe me I know all too well!!!!

Good for you for not turning to food!!

I'm so excited for you.   I haven't been back to Curve's for a while because I've been in physical therapy due to a car accident.  I'm getting released this week and can go back soon.  I am anxious to be re-measured again too.  It is amazing sometimes even though we aren't dropping the pounds as fast as we once were the inches are going and stuff is re-arranging for sure.

At least you've learned you can't change difficult things with your eating.  That wouldn't do anything but hurt you in the long run.  I'm proud of you!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

You have done amazing with your tool. How great to be able to turn to friends for comfort and not food. That is awesome!  Be very proud of that accomplishment, I know how hard it is!

Congrats on the total loss and inches!!  That is so amazing to me!!!

My family is not Italian, but we always joked that we should have been as everything was so dramatic.  Hope things settle down on that front soon!
