I met a new friend from OH
A few weeks ago I received an email from a wonderful lady who lives in Durant, who has had lapband. We have corresponded by email daily since then. As is so happens, we only live a few blocks from each other, and last night I invited her to go with me to the pool for water aerobics. We had the best time chatting, and working out together. I am so excited to meet someone who, like me, is a teacher, and has has WLS, she understands some of the things I am going through. It's nice to have someone close by to bounce ideas off of, even if our surgeries were different.
This is such a great place!
Hugs,
Marsha

Debbie,
It does feel good to have someone close by. My friend that lives next door has had VBG, and she has been great for support, but she's so far out, that we're totally not on the same page now. I do wish I were closer to Edmond so I could attend the support group meetings regularly. I have thought about trying to get one started in Durant, but really don't know if I have time to take on that kind of commitment, or really how to do it. I will be attending (if nothing happens) the support group meeting in Edmond during Spring Break, which will be two weeks from now, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.
Hugs,
Marsha
