Almost there
I have my surg date it is the 26th but these pre op test and dr's visits are stressing me out. I seen the cardiologist today, passed with flying colors (the stress test was horrible but I did it) than I had to do some pulmonology testing, a chest x-ray and have abg's drawn. I passed all of those as well. Next week is really gonna be busy, Monday I have to drive to bailey for a support group meeting, than wed I have to drive to bailey to see the lung specialist, and again thursday I have to drive to bailey to have my pre op appt and have my nutrition visit. Then on the 20th I have to have all my labs drawn and sometime soon I will have to have a egd done. Each trip is a little over 4 hours driveing time. I am really stressed because I have to work as well. I will be off 4-6 weeks with no pay so I have to work at least 3 12 hour shifts each wee****ill the week I have surg and than I will work 2 12 hour shifts. I guess I am stressing a little and needed to vent. Thanks for understanding

WOW! That is a lot, but you can do it! I have not had my surgery yet, but from watching everyones progress on here I know it will all be worth it!

Christina! I am so shocked that your surgeon's office did not try and schedule your stuff on the same days...OWLO would do that for its out of state patients...
As for all the testing believe its well worth knowing that you are in the best health possible.
I hated taking the pulminary test..thought my brains what little I have were going to explode...the worst part for me was the h plori test...only cause i failed it and had to take the antibitoics for it and had my surgery rescheduled...
good luck to ya..and about the works schedule just please make sure your job is lite duty....yu will just had major surgery....hugs to ya

being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
The dr's office did try has best they could to set up appts for me on the same days like today I had my stress test and my pulm testing done and next week i have my pe op apt and my dieticin appt they same day.. They tried to get my pre op and lung dr and dieticin appt all on they same day but the lung dr was going on vacation that thurs and the other dr was comeing back from vacation on thurs. (spring break) Than I was going to have my egd done locally but the dr I wanted to use is also in the army and was deployed for the next two months as off last week and the other dr I really don't care for on a personal level (I work at the hopital he practices at he is a great dr but has the bedside manner of a snail--------no offense to the dr but I really like the on who got deployed) So hopefully I can have my pre op labs and my egd done the same day. I feel sorry for my poor hubby he works nights and has to get up early when I have a friday appt.
