need advice - liquid diet?
FleeMore,
You are welcome to come tan, it isn't the greatest place but was cheap and no contracts to see if I would like it or not.
Kim,
I am hoping to talk my mom into sitting till church time with the kids so I can come this week but till I talk to her there isn't any guarantees. I know the kids are welcome but trust me it is much easier on mom to steal an hour or so to myself occasionally.
As for the tanning I don't know if it would make you lose or not but hey I love getting a golden tone this early out. I would have never thought of getting myself stripped down and oiled up for one of those places a few months ago. My friend Breezy who is one of these real girlie girls has put herself into the position of showing me how to be girlie girl. So I have had my nails done, my eyebrows waxed and a pedicure all for the first time. Then she convinced me to go tanning with her and I am now more faithful about it than she is. But hey it feels good!

Glitter, I'm glad you are going to your appointment.
NOW-if you want to go on liquids for a few days to help refocus, that's fine. But, if you are doing it to jump start that scale and possibly misrepresent how you've been doing lately, how is that going to help you? And I can tell you, cause I tracked, I can ingest a whole lot more liquid calories than solids, so if you don't track it carefully, you can end up hurting yourself in the long run.
You are doing so well, your life has improved so much, and I'd hate to see some mystical number on the scale that you think you should be mess that up. Once you get in that mindset, it's really hard to break free from it.
that was a great response, and yes, voice of reason is what we all need to hear. Gliter, just be yourself, they are not thugs, you will not get beat down for your weight, be honest with yourself and them, they are there to help. you hae accomplished so much so far, you will have success in the future, no worries, keep all your appointments. have fun with it. I was to the NUT and clinic and they were jumping for joy one minute giving me heck for blood work the next, I smiled and politly said, aftr one month, the weightloss I am proud of, the blood work will take care of its self in a few months....they all agreed with me and we moved on. they are doing their job, earning their dollar, bottom line, this trip is about you...let us know how your appointment went.
Believe in yourself, good things will happen
Kim,,,,I dont have any magical answers either , but I am 15 months out , and as Dr G. said i gutted my way through a long stall , my body just said NO , but i was determined and I just kept on with everything in me . Sometimes I cried sometimes I wanted to scream , but i never gave up . Your right you have accomplished so much , but I do understand how it feels because I have been there. It is hard after the "honeymoon" phase when the weight just drops off , but at some point the body just says NO . The only advice i have for you is not to give up , keep your appts. and hang in there , I went through the same thing at about the same point you are now . You can do this , and we all here to help you through those frustrating times . Like others have said we all lose at our own pace and in our own time . Take care and dont let this get you down ,,,,,,Luanne
