need advice - liquid diet?

I need advice before lunch time today!  I have been stalled awhile and admit to eating some things I shouldn't but not too bad.  And I have been exercising.

Anyway, I'm supposed to see Walton for my 9month check on Thursday.  I don't think I would react well if he tells me I'm not losing quickly enought to suit him.  So I am thinking about cancelling the appointment.

Or I could go on liquids until Thursday morning's appointment.  What  do you guys think?  I'm so sick of being at the same weight week after week!

I sure wouldn't cancel the appt just because you think he might be displeased....hey, you're doing as best you can, and why NOT do all liquid for 2 days? Can't hurt! Just make sure you get your protein in so you don't feel icky...

Lisa J, (who of couse hasn't HAD her surgery yet!! )

Lisa, preop's opinions are just as important as any others on here! We are all here for support and encouragement and to give it, no matter where it comes from!
Hang in there girl, your time will come soon!

Hi, Kim.
Do you really think Dr. Walton would say that to you? Look at me. My weight loss hasn't been the fastest, yet the last time I was in to see Dr. Walton, he said, "I'm proud of you."
I can only speak for myself, but if it were me, I'd go low carb or liquids until my appointment. I'd definitely keep the appointment, because I'd get discouraged with the "what ifs" if I didn't try.
Whatever you decide will be the best thing for you. You can do whatever it takes (in a healthy way) to get to your goal. You look awesome, and I know you feel better. You'll get there.
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks Mary.  And, yes, I think he would say that to me.  We haven't really bonded on the psychological side of things.  That's ok - his skill as a surgeon was the most important thing to me and he has that in spades!

Thanks for taking the time to respond.  I appreciate it!  Guess I'll do liquids on Tuesday and Wednesday!

I really don't think you'll hear that he doesn't think you are loosing quickly enough for him.  He knows we aren't on a "diet"!!  We all do it different and at different paces.  I think I'd just tighten up the reigns a little and do what you know how to do like right after the surgery.  (I'm preaching to myself who is suppose to see him on the 12th and only lost about 10 pounds the last 3 months)  We need to up the protein, up the water and exercise.  I KNOW I need more protein myself.  I KNOW what I'm doing wrong and I personally think I'm sabatoging myself because maybe I'm a little afraid to go on down further...unmarked territory for at least 30 years!!!

Kim, you CAN do this in your own time!!!  Your race is against yourself only....  (I'm not going to see the nut though...I personally don't think it's much benefit to me to hear the same thing over and over).  I think we'd only hear what we already know for her.  Just my opinion for what it's worth!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I'm thinking the same thing.  I don't want to see the nut either.  It's just gonna be the same thing over again and I'll have to pay out of pocket for it.  Wonder if they'll let me cancel the appointment that's sandwiched in the middle of the surgeon and exercise?

I wouldn't care what they thought about canceling the nut appointment.  I'm not paying out of pocket for that one either.  Heck, they might even let you move up the exercise appointment so you wouldn't have to wait on it.

WAIT WAIT WAIT! WHAT???

Are you girls saying that you haven't seen the psycologist yet??? Seriously? They actually schedule you for surgery before seeing all their in-house people???????? I can't believe it!
