Nerves

Nerves are starting to get to me. I am so worried that my husband won't feel like coming to the hospital with me. He got up at 3 this morning and was vomitting and had diarrhea. He has been asleep all day. He has gotten up 2 times and went back down because he just feels crummy.
Don't know if I can go through the surgery without him. My mom will be there but is just isn't the same you know?

My daughter got the same stuff the night before my surgery...My mom and sister came to the hospital to be there for me and honestly after I went into the OR. I didn't even care who was there.My mom was not my personal choice but it was the best choice for the time, because I wanted SOMEONE there. She even stayed all night there, which was nice. I just had them keep me drugged and I got through it...
I know it's not what you want but Emily, right now, do what you can to get through it. I promise you that your nerves will all give way to peace tomorrow when you walk in the hospital....I do understand as my daughter was the one I needed there for me....but I did it anyway. You will too if you have to. It will be ok....

Emily please know that even if he is ill and cant make it you are a strong lady who has worked hard to get to where you are and he willbe there in spirit rooting you on. You can do this because Sherry is right after youhit the OR you dont care whos around any more.

I will be praying for a quick recovery for your husband and an uneventful surgery for you...I agree with the others that you can do this with or without him there.  If he can not be at the surgery just try to keep peace within yourself knowing he is getting well so he can give you all the tender love and care after surgery!!
Good luck and you will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow...

Im sorry to hear he is ill, that stinks. I hope there is no chance of you catchin what he has. That would surely not be fun dealing with right after surgery. Big Hug and I will be thinking of you & sending good vibes.

Thanks so much Kim. He is up and says he feels a little bit better. He ate some broth and has kept it down. He says he is going. We will see what the morning brings.

If it's any help my husband had that stomach bug last week and it only lasted a day with him so maybe he will feel better in the am. Good Luck!!!!
