QUESTION NEED ADVICE

I really need some advice.  I had the sleeve on 2-13-09 and and I had a scrambled egg today with melted fat free cheese on top and I ate all of it and I still did not feel full.  I stopped after eating it, but I read so much on the forum that most people can only eat one half of the egg and are really full.  I did not feel full, and I could have eaten more, but didn't..  I took about 45 minutes to eat, and I did not drink anything for an hour afterwards.  Is this normal?  Also does anyone have any good protein drink receipts?  Thanks for all of your help.

Everyone is different.  I was told that I should stop eating after 20 minutes.  Anything over that would be considered grazing and you probably wouldn't have finished the egg in 20 minutes.  Everyone fees full at different points.  It was a long time before I could finish an egg.  Make sure you are getting your fluids in.  I was also told a lot of times we feel hungry when we are actually somewhat dehydrated and should drink first.  I don't have any good protein drink recipes since I don't personally do them.  Some use the protein powders in their coffee etc.  Some even stir it into yogurt etc.  I think you just have to experiment.  Eggface has a lot of good recipes.  She even has ice cream recipes that protein powder could be added to.

I'm sure others will chim in here about some protein shakes etc.

Well, it does seem rather odd that you didn't get full but I agree with Debbie.  Maybe you just took too long to eat it?  I have never taken 45 minutes to eat a meal so maybe that's the deal.

Can't help you on the protein drings thing cuz I hate 'em!  Wish I could find one I liked!  Maybe someone will post with a suggestion!

Glad you are doing well!

I agree (I'm banded) with Deb.  We are told to stop after 15 or 20 minutes and come back in an hour if we are still hungry-I never am.

Definitely try not to take longer than 20 to 30 minutes to eat. Taking longer will allow the food to slide down and leave room for more. I also don't do protein drinks; if I had to force one down I would probably choose an Atkins Advantage shake, to me they are doable.
