Day 3
Em, one thing you might do if you haven't already is go through your clothes. You should sort them because I'm sure you're like the rest of us were we had many sizes just in the closet. You will be in the smaller ones sooner than you think and that way you will have them separated and not miss out on being able to wear some of them. I just got through pulling all my clothes out from last summer. It looks pretty sparse in there now but oh well I guess I might just have to "GO SHOPPING"!!! I love to shop. I'm a bargain shopper though and have been quite thrifty since they get too big so fast. Hang in there...you're almost on the bench!!!! We can't wait to move on down for you sister!!
I pureed and froze into ice cube trays several things for after surgery. You'll be on pureed foods for a while and it sure was nice to take out a cube of tuna and a cube of carrots, heat them and be done with it instead of getting out the blender 3x a day and cleaning it. A favorite of mine was pureed refried beans with some ff sour cream mixed in. Very tasty and good protein. After they were frozen, I just dumped them into a gallon freezer bag, labeled it and called it good. Good for portions, too - one cube is 1oz of food. I also froze a bunch of skim milk into 1oz cubes because all the yummy protein shake recipes I found call for that so I just always keep a supply. Also make sure you've got your supply of protein powder and mix-ins because you probably won't feel like going to the store for a few weeks.
Good luck!! You're almost there!
