Stephanie & Stephanie - we need UPDATES!

Girls - we need to know how you both are!  Did you each see your doctor? 

I'm hoping and praying that the 2 of you get some relief soon!

I got an e-mail from Stephanie Tinker 09:I don't think she'll mind me sharing with you guys.  She knows we all care and have been concerned.  I think she is now headed in the right direction at least.  She was at the support meeting last night but...I didn't get to go so didn't see her.

I missed you tonight.  I had the scope and they found that the opening at the bottom of my pouch was almost closed completely.  Dr. Seres said he couldn't even get a pen through it he did a balloon and opened it up.  I can drink so far and it doesn't hurt. Yea!  I will try food in a day or so.

Hi Gang,
Your right Debbie I don't mine you sharing.  Here is what finally happend.
On Weds. I went to Integris at 2:30pm finally got called back at 8:30 pm.  the ER doc looked like he was 10 yrs old.  He did blood work and said everything looked fine.  Said if I can keep down water then he was sending me home.  Two sips and guess what it came up. "What A Shock".  So then he asked if I wanted to be admitted I said yes if they are going to find out what was wrong with me.  He came back an hour later with another idea.  A gastrologist is going to call you tomorrow and get you in and you can go home.  I agreed and yesterday I got a call at 8:15 to see dr. Seres I really liked him.  Stephanie spent 31/2 hours at her dr. appt then came and picked me up and drove me to my appt.  at 3:30 I was out of scope and he was telling the two of us the bottom of my pouch was almost completely sealed closed.  So he put a balloon in and opened me up.  So far I am able to consume liquids with no pain will try soft food later today.

The other Stephanie,
They are going to run a couple of tests in the next couple of days and see if they can find out what is going on with her.  She had a heart to heart with the Dr.  and no one got hurt.  I had told her to call me if she needed me to post bail.  Thank goodness that didn't happen I would have missed my appt. LOL!   She was going to try eating some beans last night.  Not sure how that ended.

It is just a shame that you have to nearly threaten these people to get something done before they do something. I am glad you have finally gotten to the bottom of this...I am so sorry that you had to go through so much....both of you!  I do hope you continue to improve now and can finally eat!

Sorry guys I was SO sleepy when I got home last night. Okay so no bail money was needed but I think if we take up a collection just in case I should be okay. First the good news....He ordered an upper GI an ultrasound of my GB and mrm. Hope something comes out of it and he told me to take some over the con meds bc I haven't had a number 2 in about a week.
Bad news
He has no idea what is wrong, and i seriously think he doesn't believe me. He said " if your only getting such a small amount of food in, you should have lost more weight." I have lost only 25lbs in 2 months. But 2 months ago I was in a size 22/24 your girl is wearing 14/16. So seriously I work out 4 times a week so I don't know what I am losing but inches are gone FOREVER. So after Chris and Dr. Walton kinda blowing me off I was damn near in tears and seriously considering hurting someone. I spoke to Dr. Keller which saved me from a case of  triple homicide bc I was PISSED. But I am okay now, I am calm and cool just relaxed. He made me see that I had some fear or eating and drinking bc it hurt that was hurting me in the long run and in a way I needed to toughen up. So I have, I had some cheese and thinly sliced ham for dinner. Had the bubble gutts but it stayed down. Hurt alittle bit but it felt good to have food in my stomach. See Chris in 2 weeks Dr Walton in a month, so keep your fingers crossed.

Kinda wish they had found something wrong so they could fix you.  Is that sick or what?  Don't let them get to you.   You are the only one that has to be satisfied with your weight loss.

So happy you got some food down.  Keep us all posted because we want to know how you are - you know how nosy we are! 

I'm so glad to hear from you.  Sounds like you need to have some serious bowel movement....TMI!!!  That is going to make you feel so much better though.  If I go more than 2 or 3 days I'm pulling out the old medications....  Just take it slow on the eating.  You will do fine.  Just pace yourself and in no time you'll be able to eat a little more and a little more.  Doc Keller just might be right you know (we won't tell him though).  It was good to have you and your Grandma at the Meet and Greet.  She is a sweet lady and you are especially sweet for having her with you and being so sweet and patient with her.  You will look back one day and be so glad you were able to do this for her!!!  Take care girlfriend!!!

Debbie - you were on the other end of the table so you didn't hear this but that was Stephanie's great-great-grandmother!  She is 100 years old!  Amazing huh???
