Debbie, I finally told my MIL I was having the surgery. She really surprised me. She was so supportive. I couldn't believe it. She did call everyone in the family though and tell them too. Almost everyone was supportive. The only people that weren't were 2 of my Sisters in law. they were both pretty negative about it and I just told them I didn't want to hear it and they did shut up.

I am glad your MIL noticed the weight loss and said something to your dh about it.

Debbie,
I got a 11 books at Kohls that was called "Your all my favorites" For Christmas I wrote in each of them telling each grandchild why they were my favorite...favorite 4th grandchild or favorite 6th grandchild...and so on. It really is a good book about why each child is special but that there really isn't a favorite....I should have gotten 4 more for my 4 kids!!!!!  Anyway I do understand the favorite thing....I see it so much with my mother....still after all these years....I wonder what it feels like to be a favorite??? LOL

That's awesome Sherrie.  I'm going to look for that book and buy some.  I only have one grandchild now but I'll probably (hopefully) get 2 or 3 more one of these days!!!  My take on it is if you can't do for them all don't do for any!!!  I remember my own grandmother giving all the grandchildren a quilt she made herself.  She didn't give me one because "Debbie sews and has made quilts"!  It isn't about me needing a quilt I wanted one SHE made... Oh well...maybe I didn't!!  I don't know about being favorite either...LOL

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

That's great-but wait till she says something before we celebrate.  I just got a "is everything all right, you're losing a lot of weight...." from a neighbor and I smiled and lied and said "no, I've been the same for months, everything is great."

I'm just not going to stand around and explain to someone I see once a week or less that my weight is all shifting around right now as I work out more and it stabilizes and I know for a fact 1. I haven't lost too much by any stretch and 2. I haven't lost THAT much in the past month or so. (well, I will know that for a fact tomorrow....yaaaaaay!!!)

Ok, I'll just finish venting on your thread-I DO still wear baggy clothes around the house, but dangit, I'm not going to dress up to roll around with the dogs and the garden-I wear old clothes for that, and right now my old stuff is baggy.
