NAPROXIN AND OTHER STUFF

Back home from my mom's.  She is doing somewhat better, but still hurting, of course.  Being 86, just going to take some time for a pulled muscle to heal, but she doesn't like to accept that.  Today, the joint in my big toe is killing me.  I know I am having a round of gout.  I used to take naproxin to help it go away, but I remember that we can't take it now.  I forgot why though.  Can y'all help my poor brain remember.  Is it ok after 5 months?  Any suggestions on what else I can take.  Not sure I am even able to have the covers on my toe tonight.  If it's not one thing, it's 100.  Plus the duplex in Roland is about ready, and we will be moving next Saturday.  HATE moving!  Michael
Oh yeah.  I so wanted to come to group Thursday night, but my whole family got together for cornbread and beans.  Couldn't pass that up, since I'm not able to get to with my family that much.  We had so much fun.  I was sad that I couldn't see some of you at group, though. 

Ouch on the Toe. Hope it gets better quickly. I think Naproxen is an Nsaid and they tend to cause stomach problems.  Don't want those in your new tummy.
I hate moving too. I don't ever plan on moving again.

Michael, I think you are limited on all antiflamitory medications now. Naproxin is known to cause stomach problems and even ulcers. I would call the doc's office and ask them about something you could take as a liquid. I know when my toe toe flairs up I have gotten a shot of Toradol (sp?) and it has helped to calm it down.

I'm glad you will be moving soon and get that all done. Then maybe you both can focus on getting better! I hope Dessie is doing better. Keep us posted on her progress, will you? Thanks

I know how you feel about the family get together. Last weekend we had a sibling party for my mom's birthday and we six kids had a blast. It was the first time we had been together in 6 years. Great pictures...except we 3 girls are chubs!!! The boys always look great! It's ok, next time we take pics, I'm going to be looking smokin hot for an old lady!!! I'm glad you had a wonderful time!
