Yes my peeps...I'm waiting at the Las Vegas Airport just coming back from a week of umm....well fun...

I had a touch of "island fever or aka islanditis"....and well to be honest....I had to break outta my normally low carb routine and open up....  so since I don't have a priest nearby, i will tell you that I broke several carnal rules, however, I still lost another 4 pounds....  I was travelling with another WLS person from OKC and well they were much better than me....but I told them before I ever went hat I was so tired of seeing all of those food commericals on the island, but we didn't have the restaurants there that offered any of that kind of food....

So I traded my normally low carb life for something..umm...decadent....d'anjou pear-nutella crepes...yes...sinful..and right up my alley...  I am not ashamed...  I also had "In N Out burger"....ummm....yes...so righteous that one cannot feel bad about eating the bun....so again...unashamed...

I am however a bit guilty....  I ate chips and salsa for the first time in like 2 years and um....I was a glutton...so the iron fist did appear in my throat and I did want to yak....but I didn't.....no, no...that was saved for a shot of Petron that a really kind bartendress offered me gratis.....so umm...it wasn't all heaven-sent....

So I'm heading back to the islands....and the low carb life...  memories of awesome food....great cirque du soliel shows....and incredible moments that I needed to get back to reality for a while....

Confessional closed....  I'm happy to visit with my wls family again.... (there are other things that I could confess....but those are real sins... and hey... God made me so He knows what to expect from the okie pirate)....hehe...

Hon maybe I am new but doesn't that sound normal? That after awhile it is okay to "cheat" sometimes b/c you do not eat like that everyday. Plus 360 days of the year we are perfect or damn near? So from this newbie I say congrads and enjoy just don't make it a habit. did you happened to bring me back a shirt or a cool key chain at least?

Nutella?? Have any idea how much I am craving that stuff? Passed by it at the grocery story yesterday and almost grabbed a jar, but then came to my senses and didn't!  Glad you had a great time, and yes, you will get back to your routine, and be just fine. I think you know what you are doing...

And yet you lost another 4 lbs!!!!  That is just wrong!! LOL!!!!  I'm happy you had a wonderful time and were able to enjoy some tasty treats.  If you are anything like I was before surgery, I used to eat all the good stuff but not really enjoy it.  I mean I think I just shoved it in without really enjoying it.  It sounds to me like you reall appreciated and enjoyed every bite.  Now back to reality....which for you is the island life which ain't too bad!!

Glad you had a great time.  But, as you point out- back to reality now.  That is what is so great about our tools- we can hop right back on the wagon.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

In N Out BURGERS rock, but their fries taste like dead things.  Even Pre Lap Band I could only stomach one or two-nasty nasty nasty.
