My weight loss manifesto

Every day, GG.  I have my own windmills to tilt.  Right now I'm stalled.  Part of it is lack of exercise but it's mostly that I'm eating too many raisins.  It's the one sweet I allow myself and I'm having trouble eating a normal portion.  I know I need to get it under control and I am trying.

I mainly wrote this for our friend last night who is 8 pounds away from her pre-surgery weight goal.  I want to help her so she won't give up.  She's so close and I know she can get there.  I sincerely hope her visit today goes well and that the NUT can help her lose those last 8.

My heart went out to her also.  That was sooo ME a year ago.  8 pounds at that time may as well been 50.  We work so hard and then...it seems so far away.  I'm really hoping she gets a big surprise and her 8 pounds is gone and they can proceed. I know she was down last night but SHE CAN DO IT!!!!  We're all rootin for her and will help any way we can!!!   My friend if you're reading this and need a buddy PM me and I'll give you my numbers and we can talk any time you need encouragement.  For that matter I'm sure any one of us from our group would do that for you just PM us and let us know!!!!   YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Very well said Winn! I like it when you say "I am human" - I think we all need to remember that and that making mistakes is actually part of this journey. The important thing is to stay focused on the main goals that I know most of us set for ourselves when we start this process.

I think you will do great with surgery and the weight loss - you are so on the right path!!!

Amen Winn!!!  That is so good.  I am glad you put that in writing because I needed to read it and rehearse that myself for a bit.  I love your new avatar and echo what Kim said to you in an earlier post about being excited to see your progress.  I think you are going to do marvelous and am enjoying following the progress!
