Does anyone know JoeJoe to check on her??
Sorry I have not replied sooner. I did go to the ER Sunday and they did an ultra sound and everything showed to be ok. The ER Dr. called Dr. B and they gave me a shot and some pills to take 3 times a day and they have really helped. Sunday I could not even walk from the front of the hospital to the ER they had to use a wheel chair. It felt like deep leg cramps in both legs, but I am lots and lots better today. They still hurt but nothing like they did. Does anyone have any suggestions for these 14 days of liquids. I have been doing the chicken and beef broths and the protein drinks, but I am still hungry, not head hungry but real hunger. My stomach even growls. I have also used the sf jello and sf popsicles. If anyone has any suggestion to get past these 14 days I would really appreciate it. Thanks for asking about me and I really do appreciate all of you.

It's about time!!! I am on liquids woman! I have nothing to do but worry!!! I am so glad you are ok and that things are getting better for you.....
Ok now....my advice on how to survive the next days of liquids...take the Loritab and sleep for the next week!!! I didn't need it for pain...but maybe that would help get me though. I am finding myself quite edgy too!! I'm a wreck looking at the calendar and only seeing the days ahead and not those behind me...Today is one week out!
My stomach doesn't growl...it roars, and rumbles and rolls too....I am doing alot of different teas, sf types of drinks, Poweraide Zero, vitamin water..... and have gotten one protein drink down a day. I had mixed one box of jello with my protein and that calmed my tummy down for awhile, I am having no problem with getting my liquids in at all! I am right with you sister, but I think we will only get "we will pray for you responses".....Oh well that works too...just not to tasty.
Believe it or not...I have been writting a family cook book for a year or so and I am throwing myself into that....What a choice to throw myself into huh???

I am so glad we tell it straight here. On the lapband list every now and then someone will post asking for "yummy clear liquid recipes" and I want to rip their throats out. Ok, not really, but the truth is there is nothing "yummy" you can do. My big whoppee during liquids was to put chili sauce in my broth for a savory kick.
My other pet peeve is during mushies when someone will put a donut in a blender and call it a mushy. These are not people who are going to do well unless they change their evil ways.
I was on a liquid diet for 7 months once, pre band, and I found that keeping hydrated with water and not going more than 2 hours between a "meal" kept me going and pretty even. Once you get too hungry, it's hard to get your blood sugar back into control on liquids, so it's better not to ever get hungry.
I also found that "meals" ever two hours, even though they weren't really meals, helped me break the day down into smaller increments-I only ever had to make it for two more hours at the most.

You got it right, it's not EASY, nothing easy about it-but it is doable.
I'd also encourage you guys to really THINK about what food means while you are not eating. On one hand, looking forward to mushies and texture and chewing is natural, but learning to distract yourself and think about other things is truly a good trick to learn.
