Smooth Move tea--constipation relief
Hi, Everyone.
I promised to let you know how it went, trying Smooth Move tea bags. You can get a box of 16 tea bags for $5 and something cents from GNC, but I got mine from www.drugstore.com. I bought 10 boxes, to get the free shipping, because I just knew it would work well for me, and it has. Each box is $4.99 there.
One cup of brewed tea has 2 calories. The all-herbal, organic ingredients are: senna leaf and extract, licorice root, bitter fennel fruit, sweet orange peel, cinnamon bark, coriander fruit, ginger rhizome, and orange peel oil on gum arabic. The taste is fine.
Of course, it may be an individual thing, but I had no cramping or discomfort, and bowel movement happened within 6-8 hours. As with any stimulant laxative, increase in water consumption is important. While this was recommended by a dietician at Weight Wise, it's always good to check with your doctor, just to make sure he/she approves.
I enjoy a cup of hot tea at night, so this is what I use now. If you try it, let me know how it works for you.
Blessings,
Mary

Mary,
I have seen this in the pharmacy area at Walmart and Walgreens. It would save you on the shipping.
I forgot about it, I used to use it all the time. They have me on extra iron to bump my levels and therefore I have iron side affects, which I don't much care fore.
I usually enjoy at least one cup a tea a day, so this would make sense without an additional pill to take.

Hi, Pam.
Thanks for letting me know where I can purchase Smooth Move locally. We have a Walmart here in Winfield. I just never looked. I hope the tea will work for you. I know it gets old taking pills.
Blessings,
Mary

After seeing my Mom battle constipation problems that came from having cancer, I'm very sympathetic of anyone having to deal with it. I know it can be very uncomfortable and so I'm not trying to make fun of anyone with what I'm about to say:
I saw this on the shelf of a store and I couldn't help but laugh because my sister and I always said "Smooth Move, Exlax" whenever one of us did something stupid. So this just struck me as funny that somebody actually named a laxative that!
