Has anyone tried the oopsie rolls? Here are some more ideas for them.
I don't know when I copied this but after Lynette posted the recipe, I found this in a file and thought I'd post these....
Please post if you have tried them, because I'm starving on liquids and want something to look forward to! I so want these to be great so I can make them later on when I can have one.
Clear liquids is the diet from HELL!! I am a creative person and have done wonderful things with my broth....but good lord!! I have run dry in the creative catagory and still have a long way to go on this!! I'm ready to go get a Sonic burger, chew it up and spit it out!! I can do this....I can do this....I can do this.... I even thought about changing to a doctor just long enough that it would let me have cheese soup or anything that would go up a straw or something else, but shoot we can't even use a straw!!!!! I have learned that creativity doesn't coun't in the liquid phase....Patience does and I am losing mine! Ok I'm done with my rant for the morning....I think!

I bought fresh strawberries at Sam's this week and I believe we could use them as the shortcake and add some fat free light whip topping....oh this post has made me hungry!!! I haven't had a chance to try them yet but I am going to later this week for sure!! Only one for week of liquids....it's going to pass fast I'm sure!!! Just walk, sip, walk, sip, walk, sip.....
Sheri,
I am so with you on the impatience to get through liquids. I was the worst, it just was horrible. I do have to say that it passed faster than I thought it would, so hang in there....you will be on mushies in no time!
Thanks for the ideas for the Oopise bread...I haven't tried it, but I'm going to!
Hugs,
Marsha

On my second and third batch of oopsi rolls. I made one batch sweet and the other savory with sage, rosemary and garlic powder. Here is what I have done with them. Cheese sandwich, chicken sandwich, made one flat and treated it like a pancake (although it tasted more like french toast), injected a sweet one with fat free whipping cream, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, egg sandwich and sausage biscuit. Yeah, I know. It's not bread, but I really do enjoy them. Next I want to make a small hamburger patty and have it with onion !
Ok Lynette....yes, you made these things....but were they good?? LOL Be honest here!
It's like broth...I made it, I drank it but it sucked! I even put carrots and celery and onions in it, then strained it and it still sucked! I want to know that somewhere out there that darn little oopsie roll is going to be like heaven in the future...ya know?? LOL
I think these liquids have turned me into a cranky hungry person!!! GESHHHHHHHHHH!!

Low Carb Oppsie Rolls Ingredients
3 large eggs 1 packet of Splenda 1 dash salt 1 pinch cream of tartar 3 ounces cream cheese |
Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Separate the eggs and add Splenda, salt, and cream cheese to the yolks. Use a mixer to combine the ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff (if you're using the same mixer, mix the whites first and then the yolk mixture). Using a spatula, gradually fold the egg yolk mixture into the white mixture, being careful not to break down the whites. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and spoon the mixture onto the sheet, making 6 mounds. Flatten each mound slightly. Bake about 30 minutes (You want them slightly softer, not crumbly). Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, and then remove to a rack and allow them to cool. Store them in a bread sack or a ziplock bag to keep them from drying out.
