Well, single folks, how did we all fare over the hated holiday?  Just making sure everyone did OK.  Really glad that day is behind us.  No more horrible holidays until 12/31!  Yippee!!  I know this sounds bitter.  I am really not.  Just checking on my folks here.

I drove to Westville and picked up my new girl Molly.  I was halfway home before I realized it was Valentine's day and I was "entitled" to a treat, but wasn't in the mood for chocolate.  Then TODAY, the half price stuff at Walmart swept over me, but I just said no, because my rule is On or Before THE day.

MY big buggaboo is coming up-malted milk robin eggs at Easter, so I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm holding myself to only one treat, not a post Valentine's day serving AND an Easter serving.  I'd only be cheating myself.

Weekend Valentine's days aren't a problem, but when I worked, sitting in the office watching all the flowers come in was, yes, tough.  Because, even though it isn't meant to be, in Dallas it was a big competition to see who could get the biggest finest floral arrangement, and those of us who didn't get any at all, were looked upon with pity, whether we needed pity or not.

I'd have to think long ad hard about whether I loathe Christmas or Valentine's Day more-not for the original sentiment but for the one-upmanship aspect.

But, the good news is, MEN are now on the menu again. (LOL) I think most guys not in relationships kind of veer away from them between Christmas/New Years/Valentine's day.....cause it's just so bloody awkward.  And honestly, I don't blame them (cause I do too-just too dang complicated to figure out the whole gifting/spending time thing).

I ran away LOL!! No my cousin Pooh and I agreed as even when we have men they always mess up Valentines anyway that we would do so for each other, so after the morning of me and kids doing Valentines, Breakfast, walk around Old Paris and some fun shopping. (Kids bought me gifts at school and then picked out a pretty vanity tag for my new car at the flea market) we did all the fun house work real quick and headed out to Pooh's 7 acres so they could run and play and I could relax. We hit the casino for a bit (left the guys in charge of the kids since they forgot valentines) and then came home and drank some flavored rum in a Fuze drink.

I guess I have been single by chooose for so long that I have learned to make it what I want from it. I hope everyone else had a great day.

Having the time of my life!
