OT - SOONER AGAIN

Going to be a sooner again.  Always have been in heart, but for real now.  My wife has been not doing too well lately.  Her back has been hurting, and at this time with no insurance, we can't afford her cortizone injections.  She is part Cherokee, and she gets her insulin and meds from the Cherokee clinic in Sallisaw, but they denied her injections because we live over the line in Arkansas.  We have to live in one of their 5 counties in Oklahoma.  They also told her that they need to do tests on her.  Because of her feet and legs swelling 3X their normal, she was told she might have congestive heart failure.  We can't wait any longer, so we rented a duplex in Roland (which is only 6 miles from the Fort Smith/Arkansas line), and will be moving there by March 1st.  It is still being built, but should be ready by then.  We are trying to sell our home, but will have to petition our mortgage company to approve a short sale, since it isn't worth as much as we owe on it.  Ask for prayers for their approval and for a buyer.  We are excited about the move, because she will be able to get all her additional necessary medical needs now for free.  Not OKC, which I would rather move back to, but still good, and I am so happy that my wife is going to get the help she needs.   Michael.

Welcome back to Oklahoma!  I am glad your wife will get the medical care she needs.  Hopefully the mortgage company will approve your short sale since it is for medical reasons.

Muffin!  I'm so sorry to hear this!  I didn't know Mrs. Muffin wasn't doing so well.  I will pray that this all works out for you both and you sell your house ASAP!  Please keep us posted!

Too bad you aren't closer to OKC so you could come to support group!  We need a little "Muffin time" every now and again!

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your sweet wife!  I hope she feels better soon!  (remind me how she spells her name?)

Thanks, y'all.  Took our daughter over there today, and they just about have the exterior brick done, the tile is completed, plumbing should be finished later this week.  Glitter, her name is Dessie.  It's Irish, and means faithful.  Love y'all, Michael

I'm glad you are moving back to Oklahoma!  I was on 59 and drove right by that clinic today (on the way to Westville to get my new puppy dog.....)

Glad to have you back on this side of the line!  I hope your house will sell quickly.  I know a lot of people in our little town are having to leave because the oilfield has shut down a bunch.  Last year you couldn't find a house to buy and now there's signs up all over the place.  Not a lot of rental property here though.  Hey, you might consider that--renting it out--if you can't sell it soon.  You'd want to have an iron clad lease and charge high deposits though.

I wish you well and hope you're wife is feeling better soon!
