No-it's not chocolate giving me the problem-though the valentine Candy Pictures everywhere isn't helping.  It's BREAD.  I found BIMBO Toast at the Mexican grocery store-it's basically a loaf of toasted bread-and damn if it doesn't go down.  (Doesn't always stay, but that's another story).  I've tossed the last of it and am climbing on the bread wagon.  I just can't go there.

I hear ya Deb!  I'm cursed because my hubby just went to work for Wonder Bread and Hostess.  Twinkies and cherry pies are my weakness.

I was much happier when I believed bread was just not possible-and truly for me, it isn't.  It does work sometimes, sometimes it doesn't.  It's just not worth it.

Well, Deb, I'll be right along with you fighting the carb monster myself.  I'm not banded yet, but I went to see my doc for my supervised diet and well...he told me no carbs, which also includes a lot of the fruits I love so much.  I forgot to ask about grapefruit though.  I absolutely love grapefruit! :oP

HooDoo,

I cannot even TRY to eat bread in any form any more. Just seals everything up and results in a giant hurlfest. The nanner don't like the hurlfest. BLECK. So, I will live vicariously through you other bread eaters.

Maybe I am the weird one, but I have slayed that evil monster. I have no desire for carbs. I do get some through foods but breads, rice, pasta, and potatoes do not tempt me in the least. I like sweets, but they were never my down fall food so it has not been difficult for me to stay away from them either. Crunchy and salty was my thing and I use barbeque flavored pork rinds for that, which gives me protein too, but no carbs.

I have been blessed with this effect when try bread or other carbs made with flour that the item just balls up in my stomach and doesn't go down for a while....but, even though I stay away from these 90% of the time...if there are carbs around and it looks good, ask me if I try it? You betcha! And I always regret it later....it is true..they are addictive! I learned not to have stuff in my house that is tempting to me, but I do leave the house!!!
