I had my sleep study last night in tulsa and just got home. I have never seen so many wires on one person in my life. I got into tulsa right when it started raining really hard and I was not able to see a thing. I fell asleep around 11pm and a little before one the tech came in and put a c-pap mask on. I slept great until 5 this morning. It was such a big diffrence wearing a c-pap. I already know I will have to wear a c-pap but have to wait on the dr's report. I got a e-mail yesterday from Dr g's office and once Jinny gets my sleep study report she will submit to my insurance and she will do it online. (she will have the report friday or early monday morning) . Jinny also said that on average united health care approves/or denies the surg in about 7-10 days and than I will have a surg date. I am so excited,

That sounds great. I also have UHC and once all the paper work got to them, it was approved in no time. Just make sure that she sends over all 5 yrs of history, cuz they will be picky, but once they got that, everything was cool beanz.

Oh BTW, my daughters name is Chantelle, spelled a little different but still that is cool

Jinny in Dr g's office has my psych eval and my 5 year history (but there is not much to the last 5 years maybe a 4 pages but I also gave her all my lab reports and ct scans for the last 5 years as well.) so I hope that is enough. One good thing is every tim I went to the Dr I got weighed and my wt was recorded.  How old is your chantelle, mine just turned 11 in dec.

I have a love/hate relationship with my CPAP.  I know that I breathe better with it but I hate having the serpent strapped to my face when I want to roll over.   But  it's worth it to get the needed oxygen.  Hopefully, I can ditch it some day but for now, I'll try to embrace it!  (after I slap it!)

Keep us posted!

At first when the tech strapped that thing to my nose I am thinging wtf how am I going to sleep with this stupid thing plasted on my nose. I fell asleep in no time flat and sleep rerally good. I don't think I wiggeled once he put me on the c-pap. I know what you mean by feeling you have a serpent strapped to your face. I have to wait on the Dr to read the results and dictate them (even though I know the basic fact of I will have to wear a c-pap now.)

This is going to sound really stupid, but when I first started wearing it, I just felt really oxygenated!  Dumb but true!  That's why the love part of the relationship!
