Great Wolf/Shopping

What Amy didn't say in her earlier post about Great Wolf Lodge was that not only did we wear swimsuits, play with the kids and have a great time, but we also spent one morning shopping.  Before now, shopping was an endurance test for us b/c it was so depressing.  The only choice I could make was which color tent did I want this time. But when we did the mall this weekend, we had a blast trying on different styles and colors and going to different stores.  We are no longer limited to the plus size stores and it was so AWESOME! One of the salesladies got so involved in our little party that she gave us a special 15% discount!  It has been YEARS since I have actually enjoyed shopping like we did this weekend!

I love reading about your adventure (you and your sister). Your joy was contagious, too, so much so that of course your saleslady had to give you a 15% discount! I love that. Both of you deserve all the wonderful joys of life.

Yeah the shopping was fun!  I just know the people in that shoe store thought I was nuts when I kept walking up and down the isle with those high heeled shoes on and then sitting in the chair and CROSSING MY LEGS!  Woo-hoo!!!  Of course I HAD to buy the shoes after being able to do that!  Just don't tell Randy how much I really spent!!  That discount was like 50%...right?!!!

I'm going to go to Grapevine during spring break...what are the best stores to hit???  I LOVE shopping these days.  The outlet malls in Texas are the best.  I don't know why we can't have some good ones around here.  Don't they know we all go down there to spend our $$.  I stopped at the outlet mall in Hillsboro, TX this past weekend when I went to my son's and at the Jones New York store there I found the long shorts for .....drum roll please....$5.99 per pair!!!  I guess they were left from last summer...who cares!!!  I bought 2 sizes of 4 different types.  I'm thinking that they might get me through the summer.  I think someone else called them pedal pushers but I know they are shorter than I would wear before WLS but still long shorts. 

Outlet Malls in Texas ARE awesome!  I went to the Outlets in Round Rock, TX this past weekend and spent way too much.  2 summers ago, I hit the outlets in San Marcos and, again, spent WAY too much~ It just can't be helped haha.  When you are talking about the long shorts, Debbie, I am thinking you're referring to bermuda shorts (or maybe capris, but it sounds like bermuda shorts to me).  I love those kind of shorts! 

Amy & Camille~ I think y'all sound like you had the GREATEST time and I can just feel your enthusiasm almost like I'm right there with y'all.   Now hurry and post pics lol.

I agree...my Son lives about 30 minutes away from the new outlet mall in Round Rock!!!  I usually go there and Hillsboro but the Hillsboro mall is not as good.   A lot of it's shops are closing or have closed.    I think shopping is my new transfer addiction!!!  LOL

We went to the Grapevine Mills Outlet Mall.  It has gone a bit downhill over the years but still has a few good stores.  I hope we do get an outlet mall here that would be great!

Isn't that an awesome feeling when you get to do that and enjoy that type of shopping again. Even better when it is with your sis! Good job on getting that extra discount!!!

I'm envious of you!  We have planned to go to Great Wolf since it opened and haven't gotten away yet.  We are going to do that soon.  There's also a good outlet Mall in Allen, Texas if any of you are ever down Hwy. 75/Central Expressway.
