Question about sour cream
I have been eating refried beans and sour cream most of the week because I seem to be able to handle that the best. I am going into 3rd week since the surgery. Now like a lightening bolt from the sky something tells me I'm not supposed to be eating the sour cream. I looked at the materials the nutritionist gave me and I can't see anything. Does anyone know it sour cream is a no-no for a while after surgery, or if it is ok.
Thanks!
Jennifer
Thanks!

Hi Jennifer-
If it isn't bothering you, I would say you are just fine. I don't believe there are any restrictions on sour cream, and it shouldn't hurt your little tummy. So if that is what you enjoy, I say go for it.
I am not a doctor, nurse or nutritionist, but that is simply my opinion. That was one of my staples for awhile too and I am not that much ahead of you (one month yesterday).
Best of Luck!

I didn't have the same doctor as you but I did refried beans and low fat sour cream and cheese on my beans. I was lucky to get a full teaspoon of sour cream on my little bit of beans, I believe the serving since is 2 tablespoons. Maybe you are thinking about the lactose intolerance that some people have.
