At least you have the option.  State insurance won't cover a dime.  Those hoops may be no fun but the financial benefit is enormous!

I consider you extremely lucky and I am so envious! =)

It will happen, I had to jump through lots of hoops also.  Don't give up hope, when you least expect it, boom it's there!

Congratulations!

Marsha

I am glad you are close to getting an answer. I had state insurance and fought with them for a year jumping the hoops they wanted ony to be given one excuse after another. I then got my disability approved and reccieved Medicare which approved me in les sthan 36 hours. I was amazedafter fighting so long but know now at 3 months out it was so worth the fight for me.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!  We all understand the "we want it NOW" feeling.

I'm thrilled when I read about people getting their insurance to pay for WLS.  Mine was a no-go, no-way, no-how.  I could have weighed 800 Lbs & been bed-ridden.  They wouldn't have paid.

It's a matter of making yourself a priority.  You deserve this & I truly hope your insurance company agrees!!!  If not - there are other ways and you'll find the right path for you.
