Not sure what's going on with me!

Good almost-noon on Friday, fellow losers!  I feel yucky today.  You all know I have had complications with my surgery, two strictures, and an ulcer.  I have been feeling amazingly good since my last EGD which will be two weeks ago on Monday.  I saw Dr. Walton on Tuesday, everything seems to be going well.  I had lunch yesterday, got sick after two bites.  I actually thought that was caused by accidentally getting sweetened tea instead of unsweet....didn't know it until I was back at work and had added my sweet & low.  I had dinner last night, it all stayed down fine, I felt ok after eating it.  This morning I woke up feeling like crap.  My tummy seems upset, I had brought some pimento cheese for breakfast yesterday morning, and had some left in the fridge, so I ate about two bites of that, and even water is making me nauseous.  I think  (hope)maybe it is a virus or something, I just don't feel like I did when it was the stricture.  I am so tired of not feeling well.....I just want to get back to my old normal self before surgery and complications.  I think I have thrown up more in the past six weeks than I have in my 41 years!  I'm really not a complainer, and I try not to let anyone know when I don't feel good, but I can't always hide the way I'm feeling now.

Thanks for "listening" to my complaints.  I really do have a good attitude about this surgery, even with the complications.  I wouldn't change a thing, except the being sick part.

Hugs,
Marsha

I am so sorry for the problems, Marsha.  I was sick most of the time for the longest.  I would get the foamies most of the time.  Dr. W was just a little concerned about a stricture, but really didn't want to do anything about it at the time.  I didn't have as much trouble as you.  I finally started taking smaller bites, chewing more, and taking like a minute or so between bites.  Has helped, but still if I get in a hurry, even a little bit, I will definately still get sick.  Usually when I get sick on something, I won't try it again.  Love pimento cheese, but got sick on it, and now it grosses me out just looking at it.  Only thing I am tired of, is eating cold food.  First bite or two is all the warm food I get.  Good luck on this, and prayers of healing are going out to you, Michael

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

Ok, I am just going to say it.  You can tell if you are having a chewing issue because when it comes back up it will still look like what it was-a piece of chicken or whatever.  If liquid slurry comes up, it's something besides bite size.

So, if you "blow chunks" you are not chewing well enough.

I have never thrown up chunks of anything, it has always been slimy, icky gross, liquid.  Today I ate extremely slow, and didn't get sick, but do have indigestion.  I'm hoping it has to do with the ulcer and medication will help get me through it.  I really don't need to be gone from work anymore if I can help it.

Stephanie....I may be joining you on that do not call list pretty soon.  I seem to never have to call unless it's on the weekend.  Grrr!  I hate that!   I know it will get better for the both of us soon.  The thing is as soon as I go in and have the procedure, I feel so much betther, then in a few days I start feeling like heck again.  I hate that!

Hugs,
Marsha
