Dr. Kirk is awesome. He has this great personality and very likable. I had to see him right before my surgery, and he will crack u up. I didnt get a fill from him but he has good bedside manners

I don't use this doctor, but from the price I'm guessing it's a fill under fleuro, so you'll drink some dye, then he'll give you a fill, then you'll drink something else and watch while it goes through.  It's really kind of cool to watch.

Pricey huh?   200.00 for the dr and 200.00 for the hospital.  Thanks for responding.  I've been reading some other posts and I guess the procedure is rather quick and simple.  Nothing to worry about.  Thanks Debra

I believe Debra is right.  I seem to remember Dr. Gorospe saying something about not doing a fill blindly so that is probably what he meant.  Dr. Kirk is a great guy.  We have a support group meeting Monday night at Bailey if you are interested in coming.  Dr. Kirk should be there.

Thanks Kat.

I'd like to come.  What time is it on Monday?  Where in the hospital will it be?

It's at 630, it'll probably be over by 745.  When you walk in the door (the covered door that you can drive through) walk straight in, right before the elevator you'll turn right, walk through the cafeteria and go down the hall.  The room we meet in is on the right hand side (two rooms on that side we use both) there will be tables set up outside the doors where you can get your name tag (pre-op, post-op, or visitor ) as well as this months copy of our newsletter.  The group is for everyone that has had surgery no matter what kind.  There isn't a lot of lap banders that show up but that doesn't mean that you won't be welcomed with open arms.  We are getting more people who had VSG.  At the meeting you'll also have access to Dr. Gorospe, Dr. Kirk, and Stephanie the nutritionist, they are always there to answer any questions that you would have one on one.  I'm not sure how far out you are, but there is also a clothing exchange if you need new clothes or have some to get rid of.

P.S. if you think you are going to go shoot me a message and I'll give you my cell and you can sit with me so it won't be a total group of strangers :)
