How long from Pre-op did you wait for surgery?

I had my initial consult on Sept 16th and I had surgery Novemeber 10th.

I knew at my 1st appointment my surgery date IF all things went through clearly. I had fought with my old insurance for a yeaar before the new approved me in less than 48 hours.

My final pre-op was 5 days before surgery and they basically make sure you know what is happening on surgery day and ask if you have any questions you need to discuss about all you learned. OWLO takes you literally step by step what will happen from the moment you get to the hospital through what happens the final minutes of check out.

I had a regular appointment around 8/15, and it was then that Dr. Walton said lets make this your pre-op appointment.  But still had about 2 to 4 lbs to lose to complete my full 10% loss, so my surgery wasn't scheduled until 9/15.  I am anxiously waiting for your sugery.  Any idea yet when it's going to be?

No Michael, but thanks for asking. My blood sugars went wild a week ago and I had to get that back down.  My advocate is supposed to call me today with a pre-op appointment. time. I am hoping it all goes quick now. I had to increase my insulin so it is a battle to keep the 10% weight loss off I had off, to stay off, but I am working on it.  Be sure and say hi to your sweet wife for me.

Sher, my pre-op appointment was about a week from the surgery date....you're soooo close!!!  It's about time.  You must have learned a lot about patience during this whole thing!!!!  Let us know when you hear...we're all rootin for ya girlfriend!
